ohhhhhh my goooodness

4x4 craving satisfied for awhile. Finally got enough balls to go out on the lake. What a blast, there is just enough snow that you would get stuck with out 4x4. Snow drifts upto maybe 3ft at deepest. We tried to cross the lake but a pressure ridge denied us for many many KM, we followed it for over 30 minutes at 50km/h on the ice, that was sweet.

So I love to play with my transmission since I have temps on the torque app and such.

4Hi in D Transmission got up to 90C, then i took over. Put it in 4Hi 2nd gear, RPM jumped to just under 3k at 50km/h. Transmission dropped back down to 68C.

4Hi in 4th gear it jumped to almost 100C very fast, popped it back in 2nd and right back down to 68C

Once we got GiaGPS working it recorded some of the fun

Also took more off the cab mount today. This is as much as I can do before I cut into the actual mount.

Yes. Drove around today. Still have some more smashing to do to the firewall. I think the cap mount is good!

 

Drove out to New Market to pickup a bed divider. Guna do the modifications to it tomorrow to have it functional

 

Have you considered a small body lift (say 2")?

 

I shouldn’t need it. I just have to continue to clearance everything. An alignment will also help if I push the wheel forward a bit.

A body lift would help but I would only consider a 1” if I was doing a crawl box. Right now even that I would still rub. Plus a bfh is cheaper to clearance the tires compared to a body lift

I never said a word to the new member, I didn't ditz him, I just posted the pic, but I guess a picture is worth a 1000, or 3 days in this case. I'll avoid the temptation at a little dry humour next time.
