You guys have any recommendations for a good beefy automotive cordless impact gun? I'm slowly adding automotive tools to my collection of carpentry-related tools and the impact driver I use for indoor projects just isn't suited for doing stuff with the truck.

 

I'm ready to eat 20+ chicken wings!

 

Dewalt makes quality cordless tools. I have a Ryobi cordless toolset that's been good but don't have their big impact.

I will look at the brand later and post back; I have one from years ago during my motorcycle racing days, from my Snap On dealer.

 

I have a Milwaukee m12 impact driver that I love. They make like a ridiculous 18v impact gun that is supposed to be good.

Nice. I love how they say "up to 1400lbs of nut busting torque." Sounds like using it will feel great!

 

Seriously. Bolts will either come loose or will break off haha

 

Whatever you decide on, pick a brand and stick with it. Otherwise, you'll end up with a bunch of different batteries/chargers/tools that can't be mixed.

I have the “Chicago Electric” impact and it’s been awesome for 5+ years so far and still goin strong

 

alright guys, I have a loud metal poping sound coming from the passenger side only sometimes, seems to be worse when cold? anybody know what this could be UCA? also I need a ECGS needle bearing not sure if that could be it. any ideas on where to start?

 

Make sure all the bolts for your front suspension are torque'd down?

 

maybe ill get around to doing that Tuesday. but I also only have hand tools. so its kinda a pain to work on.

 

I know the feeling. Shopping for a good impact gun now.
