Just curious, what ballpark do places charge to do them? I've always done just turbotax so wondering what the price difference is.

 

I wouldn’t get too hung up on brands if you’re looking at an older pop up. I’d focus more on the maintenance and upkeep. Run your hands along the inside of the roof and make sure the plywood is sound and not rotting away. Check the interior for signs of leaks and repairs, make sure the canvas and windows are in good shape.

 

Back when it was just the 1040EZ, no more than $80, sometimes less. Now with 2 kids and an HSA account, over $350

Edit: I also get 3 times more back than I used to.

Yeah, I'd probably screw up my taxes, so I pay someone who knows what they're doing. Part of the fee is preparation, part is insurance in case something's wrong, the IRS doesn't take a hit out on me lol

 

I did mine a week or so ago. I've been trying to work it so I don't get a refund by claiming 2 exemptions. But, I only changed that half way through the year so I'll end up with a few hundred bucks.

Have to do the math and make sure I'm still okay for 2018. If I owe a few hundred, that's fine, but I don't want to find out I miscalculated and owe $1000+.

 

Maybe it was. Just updated to March 29th.

I guess the date changes on a near daily basis until they actually have it on the way.
