Yes sir! The Mrs is taking part in it again this year and since we’re married now I’m able to come out and watch the action! I have a video of the Thunderbirds but it won’t upload. In that picture of the a Thunderbirds they taxied out and tookoff. A former Thunderbird pilot Alex Turner invited me to the flightline wall to watch and chat with me!

I played in a couple of those, but from the command and control side. We were the air operations center, building the Air Tasking Order and executing the air war.

    Good stuff...I almost miss it.

    Do NOT miss the deployments!

That cool man, I have seen quite a few fly into KGCM for pups over the years. I'll never forget the time this guy had 6 different breads in his SR22.

Wow! I’ve already been emailed by someone trying to arrange a black lab to be taken from Texas to Chicago and they’re looking for someone to do a middle leg Grand Lake, OK to St Louis. I could do it, but need more info about how it all works first.

I would be curious about what you learn. I started looking at their Facebook page and am curious about how it all works.

The lady coordinating the transport from N Texas to Chicago was very helpful and was able to answer a lot of my questions. I agreed to do the middle leg of the trip and we now have a group email between the sender, receiver, and each pilot. We have all agreed to fly the mission this weekend on whichever day has the best weather for all three stops. I am super excited! I might break out the cameras and document this trip. Hopefully it goes off without any hiccups! As Pilots n Paws is a part of the Air Care Alliance, the callsign COMPASSION may be used during legs with animals on board. While it does not have the same weight as LIFEGUARD or MEDEVAC, ATC can give the transport extra consideration. You do not have to use it, but I think this weekend I will be flying as CMF375 :)

My first PnP mission went successfully! Flew from KGCM to KSUS and back. I ended up getting 6.8 hours over the whole mission. My home runway was closed last night, so I planned to go to another airport near where I live. That airport was fogged in and I had to go missed on the approach. Ended up at a third airport about a 30 min drive from home. Funny thing is there was a Mooney pilot also flying in from St Louis who was trying to do exactly what I was doing so we ended up sharing an Uber back to the airport our vehicles were at. I finally had dinner at midnight. It was a long day but I had a good time! Now today I need to convince a friend to drive me out to reposition the plane.
