Right now I have just ordered the single 1/4" spacer. I'd rather not use the top spacer at all, but for $29 I figured it would give me another cheap option to get the look I want. I'm concerned that the 1" spring perch spacer will give me more lift than I care for, but if my new leafs are too high, then I will bring that back into the mix.

Yes, this is my plan B. It's still almost $300 cheaper than the 6112's.

I also need to order new bumpstops and the bushing, so mine won't be getting done for awhile. I also am due for my 15k check up, so i'm going to wait for that before I do anything. My wife is going to vegas for 4 days at the end of the month, that will give me plenty of time to do my lift and slide it right by her unnoticed lol. Kidding, she was home when my leafs got delivered and the UPS guy was kind enough to joke with my wife about all the stuff I was getting delivered...

So I need to order bumpstops and a bushing too? I'm sorry for coming off as such a novice. I had never planned to lift my truck, but just wanted something better than the Hitachi shocks my SR came with. Anything else I need to buy for this kit to work?

Ok thanks. Yea that is actually was I was contemplating as well. Get both to the same clip and use the spacer to account for the lean.

My concern is I’d rather not put too much preload on the coils and potentially firm up the ride too much. Also curious if the 1/4” spacer might be too much as it will produce1/2” lift on that side. Couldn’t that produce reverse taco lean?

Not at all. I'm just trying to get everything lined up. I'm a "in for a penny, in for a pound" kind of guy and would like to cover all my bases at once if possible.

Are the stock leaf springs on a TRD OR the same that are used on an SR?

Anything is possible I guess. I have yet to hear too many complaints of the driverside being high on any Toyota product, not just the Tacoma though.

Bumpstops aren’t mandatory, but worth the upgrade while you’re in there.

He’s probably referring to replacing the needle bearing bushing. I’ll be swapping that out as well. Too cheap not to replace while it’s all apart.

Yeah, while it's apart anyway might as well. I don't even have 4,000 miles on mine yet.

Need to do more research about this.

So, with this kit I can just bolt on the shocks and be on my way? Or do I need to do a Diff drop, needle bearing replacement and all that? I just want better shocks. I'm not against a small lift, but this is getting more complicated than I initially thought.

Some trucks need the needle bearing, some don't. No way of knowing until you do the lift.

This kit is a very user friendly suspension upgrade, that will result in some lift, and is OEM. It’s not for everyone, as is lifting in general. Any lift of any height can have some negative side effects.

Best of luck to you :hattip:

Don't cancel just yet ..... you don't need bumpstops and you likely won't need the needle bearing with such a small lift. People start getting vibrations and issues that require diff drops and carrier drops and needle bearing when you go 2.5"++++

OTT Tuned, Bilstein TRD Pro lift, ECGS bushing, Heated Clazzio's, RCI SKID TRILOGY, BAMF sliders, ARE V-Series shell, RokBlokz flaps, more to come
I’m not planning to do the ECGS bushing from the get go. I’ll have 25k on my truck by the time I install this kit. If the bearing blows I’ll buy the ECGS bushing and have my dealer swap it under warranty, assuming the dealer plays nice (they have to date). Rolling the dice...

Think you'll also need an alignment ?
