So I'm clear, going as fast as you can through the puddle like this isn't good?

(and sarcasm aside that really sucks, feel bad for the owner)

An unusually high amount of pinstriping.
We need @JimSnell to get his phone back up and working. He's got a great shot of the water shooting out of the engine.

I figured that was what happened. I didn't think that shit would be that deep, damn. Takes a lot to hydrolock these trucks. I've gone through some pretty deep shit out mudding, hasn't happened yet. Knock on wood lol.

I've been stewing over this all day. Turns out my phone has a slightly rare but well known charging problem. You know, called it won't charge. Sprint's solution for me was to mail my phone off for 2 weeks without even a loaner phone. And they say I'll lose everything on the phone. my only alternative was to buy a new phone outright. That phone is 2 months old.

So now I'm back to my old note 5 that crashes and doesn't give notifications sometimes, while I research data recovery. And I get to go to work tomorrow without even my bosses phone number.

    :annoyed:

Talked to the boys over at Heartland Toyota to have them diagnose why the truck is not starting; $115 just to tell me how much its gonna cost to fix the truck. Off the bat they think there may be an issue with the starter as it should be trying to turn over. At any rate they have the truck on the lift this morning and should be calling me soon. On a lighter note the rep thinks I should file this as an insurance claim after the truck is fixed and cleaned...lol. According to him there have been times where people have left the truck in neutral and it rolled into a large puddle of water while camping. Trying to start the car to get it out would be a justifiable claim....IDK about this.

just got off the call with the dealership and they are saying that there is internal engine damage and that they recommend the installation of a new short block. I am thinking that they are full of shit, they told me that then they opened the intake that water just poured out everywhere. I got most of the water out when we removed the spark plugs plugs. They are saying that there are bent connecting rods in the motor and that its getting caught up and not fully rotating without getting stuck. in addition to this the starter failed and there may be head damage that might be head damage.

:censored: It would require someone with a flatbed, but I think I would get a second opinion. That's a lot of money to just have one person look at it.

Also, we only got one or two rotations out of the engine before it wouldn't turn over any more. There may have still been some water in the intake, but I wouldn't think much.
