Removed pillar vinyl and badges. Swapped out the chrome bumper caps for some color matched caps. Digging the clean look so far. Not missing that chrome one bit. Gotta swap the grille out next.

I've got this thing sitting at home waiting for me to order the redarc:

 

I just bought them from Olathe Toyota. Expensive ($650.00) but I had already budgeted for these when I bought it. There is a write up on doing this somewhere?!? The OP of that thread did add adhesive but I'm glad he suggested test fitting first. I went to test fit and determined that the adhesive isn't needed. The tops of the flares fit extremely snug to the body. I think the secret to being able to pull this off was completely removing the 3 tad at the bottom front of the front flares. I didn't trim the drivers side as close as I did the passenger side and it wouldn't fit snugly. Took it off...trimmed it down...done! This took me 15 minutes.

 

How does that toolbox mount? I have a low-pro one but been eyeing the bakflip mx4 to have non passenger area storage. Do you think that box would interfere with mount of a bed cover? The cover lowers the interior bed rails about an inch or so.

 

I thought about getting that but then I'd have to fill it up.

Where did you mount the CB at?

 

The box is made for a flareside Ford Ranger. It actually sits down in between the wheel wells. I have mine blocked up with 4x4s so that the lid is flush with the bed rails, but it would sit lower without the blocks. Not sure if it would work with the back flip, but my intention is to keep the box off the bed rails so I can add a Yakima or Thule rack, or possibly some sort of topper and still keep my box.

 

@Snakedoctor I’m not sure how to copy/paste a thread but if you search “unique toolbox/storage solution” that is where I got the idea and the OP has a tonneau cover with a similar toolbox to mine.

 

Ran all the wiring to mount the radio in the center console. My

$146 Uniden Bearcat 880 CB Radio with 40 Channels and Large Easy-to-Read 7-Color LCD Display with Backlighting, Backlit Control Knobs/Buttons, NOAA Weather Alert, PA/CB Switch, and Wireless Mic Compatible

Uniden Bearcat 880 was a bit too big, so I’m switching to a 680 model which is about an inch shorter.

 

Do the matts actually do anything or just looks?
Whats it made out of?

 

Can you purchase color match bumper cap? Or did you have someone paint it?

 

I really need to Unwatch this thread. I’m going broke.
Pulled the trigger on the Ovtune. Really hoping this makes the truck more enjoyable to drive on the highway since I spend two days a week making a 200-mile commute. These drives are the only times I really notice the poor ECU and transmission logic.
Think I’m done for awhile.
