Well i was having a bad rotational squeaking/screeching noise yesterday after driving around leakey so today i greased up the u joints since i figured they were dry. They were due for grease, but since i replaced them all only 8k miles ago, i didnt think they were the culprit. It turns out there was a thin metal plate on the side of my gas tank that was bent over and was rubbing on the driveshaft only when in reverse. I bent it back, and now all is silent again. Was getting worried that my truck ate more u joints since the last three only lasted 45k miles. Glad i dont have to pull the driveshaft again:D

My 2010 was a Manual and I loved the feeling of driving it, it really is a different feeling driving the manual

Nice, was it a double cab or access cab? I definitely agree, the manual feels like im much more in control. My dad has an auto, and i feel like im free wheeling whenever i drive his truck..

It took me a solid two months to figure out how to smoothly shift the 6spd, but once i finally did, id never go with an auto. I absolutely love it

I never thought I'd drive an automatic either... Then I broke my foot. When I had to replace my GTI three years later I went to the dark side.

The Tacoma is my second auto trans since then. My hand still jumps to the shift lever whenever I have to brake suddenly.

If youre gonna drive an auto, a taco is definitely the way to go. The autos in these trucks are bulletproof. I always get the clutch foot whenever i go to start up someone elses car and its an auto:p

    Hard habit to break

I gotta say, I loved the CVT in my Juke. A lot better than Toyota's . That said, driving a little car with a turbo taught me how to be light on the throttle. I think that's the main reason why I don't have power issues with the 3rd gen. A light foot means I usually have power to spare

They've got like a billion gears. Pretty much eliminates the gear hunting that the new tacos are notorious for

Im thinking a pretty penny. Last yr gen 2, 4x4, dclb, and a rare color. I wouldnt settle for anything less than the upper end of the kbb value.. just a matter of finding the right buyer

Yeah I'll put a sign in the window and definitely Private Sale, as a year ago a Dealer offered me like 24,000
