Purchased a 2018 Tacoma TRD PRO Grill and it has a hole?

I purchased a 2018 Tacoma TRD Pro Grill because it cost $185 delivered, instead of $400.

It has a hole where a plexi glass "garnish" goes. The grill looks weird with that glass installed.

Can I purchase that "garnish" without the glass?

Not sure about the 2016 and 2017 authentic TRD Pro grills, but on the fake ones from ebay that same area is removable and has some screws.

Basically asking if I can buy that garnish without the glass so the grill looks nice and clean. My 2017 Tacoma TRD Off-Road does not have a front sensor so I do not need the garnish with the glass.

    Thanks

This is what I'm talking about the piece under the Toyota letters. I'd like to know if I can buy that part, but without the glass.

Yes I did even look at the thread you linked. Yes I am aware that the reason why it has a blank area is because I need to purchase a "garnish". My truck is not a 2018 though so I was wondering if I could get that piece, but without the glass. I know that area on the fake TRD Pro grills from China is removable so I thought maybe I can purchase that piece on it's own.

    That's all.

I want that. Instead of the glass version since I do not have a front sensor.

Yes, the sensor on the 2018 TRD PRO's.

I have a 2017 and that little spot comes out. Like they were thinking ahead!

So you can confirm that that spot on the authentic Tacoma TRD PRO grill from 2016 and 2017 is removable?

I can confirm it’s removable, I have the same grille in my 2017 OR. I didn’t look at it too closely, but it does have tabs and it is an obvious separate piece.

@FNH5-7 Do you mind sharing where you got your grill? I have the 16-17 knock off, but bought an 18 truck.

I have the piece you're looking for. Just waiting on my "plexi" garnish to arrive.

Purchased mine from OEMpartworld.com which is one state over. Grill took about a week and a half to arrive. They had mentioned all the TRD Pro grills that were available had to be shipped in from the east coast to them and then to me.

Arrived intact in Toyota box. Authentic part because it has the gloss finish. This vendor doesn't have a very good reputation on Tacomaworld though.

If you're in the East Coast, this is the cheapest place I found, may be more convinient for you but give them a call first:

Authentic TRD PRO grill or chayna PRO grill?

I would be interested in acquiring one of these pieces as well.
