I think my truck is getting to that point where a lot of the drivetrain/suspension parts are starting to show wear. I just replaced a wheel bearing a few thousand KMs ago and also did tie rods and steering shaft recently as well.

First noise/sensation.. I'm now feeling a thumping in the drivers side wheel well when driving at any speed. The thumping/bumping sensation is felt in the floor and the brake pedal, but not felt as much in the gas pedal if at all. I notice it a lot when my foot is on the brake pedal but I dont think its braking related as it can be felt in the floor as well, and my brakes are fine. It does not happen when the truck is stopped, only when moving. It continues at a constant rate when driving and I havent noticed any issues with steering/suspension and there are no noises coming from the front end. I feel like its something to do with the tires maybe but I dont actually know. Only reason I say tires is cause the thumping is continuous with the tire rotating/spinning as I drive.

Second noise is a faint screeching/squeaking noise coming from the rear end. Its definitely not coming from the front. Its not super loud but definitely can be heard. It is not present when stopped, only when driving. The squeaking/screeching speeds up the faster you get, and slows down as the truck slows. The sound is not audible at speeds below 10km/h. My first thought was driveshaft U-Joints or maybe Carrier bearing but I have no clue.

Any ideas for these noises? Or things I could possibly check/test to try and narrow down what the problem is?

I put a 1.5" 4Crawler body lift on last weekend, I only touched the steering shaft during the install. So I dont think the thumping in the front end could be related, but ive been wrong before..

Truck has a brand new alignment as of yesterday and all tires are completely straight. So the thumping is not a result of alignment.

Currently there is NO suspension lift on the truck. Just a 1.5" body lift.

For the front end noise look at your wheel hub. If you jack up the truck, grab the wheel on top and bottom and can move it/have play in the wheel it is most likely that. If it is you need to get it repaired ASAP. The vibration or noise you hear is the wheel not remaining centered while rolling. This could be very bad if it outright fails while driving.

The rear noise sounds like your universal joints are going out, a quick but somewhat costly fix ($300ish). The sound you speak of was exactly what happened with mine. I just replaced both of these items on my 07 pre-runner (165k miles on it now). Hope this helps!

Just replaced drivers side wheel bearing like 1000 miles ago, doubt its going out so soon. Ill check the passenger but I doubt its the wheel bearing, when my drivers side went out it was a different sensation from what im feeling now.

The rear end screeching was either a U-Joint or carrier bearing. I dont actually know which. I heard about the recall for the rear driveshafts for 05-10 tacomas and took my taco into the dealer. They gave me an entirely new driveshaft and the screeching is completely gone now. So whatever it was, the problem was definitely apart of the driveshaft.

Just checked and both drivers side and passenger side wheel bearings are good, no play in either one of them

When I put my hands at 3 o clock and 9 o clock and push back and forth, there is a very small amount of wiggle room and I can hear a thud, thud, thud, which is the steering wheel being moved very slightly in the cab from me trying to turn the tires manually. I believe this is normal but not 100% sure.

Im not entirely sure the thumping in the footwell is something thats broken. Because the truck seems to drive fine with it there. The thumping is not present below 10km/h and is MOST obvious around 40-50km/h. At highway speeds its definitely still there but not as noticeable at all. As I mentioned, its a constant "thud thud thud thud" in the floor, and my passenger said they can feel it in their footwell as well. Seems to be something related to the wheels turning/something in that area. Maybe steering related, maybe suspension related, tough to say..
