    That is THE WORST! My lack of sleep on days off is probably my #1 reason for wanting to leave the industry at the moment. Lorazepam works wonders but I can’t be taking that shit every night.

    My coworkers pcp gave him trazadone to clear the mind and let him sleep. I recently changed primary care and have yet to see my new dr. I spoke candidly about anxiety and sleep with my last doc but he kinda brushed it off as a hazard of the industry. I should bring it up with my new dr when he can squeeze me in.

    Trying to flip your sleep on your days off is dangerous and unhealthy. If you just can't sleep at all, that's different. Medical help may be needed. We're coming into what was always the worst time of year for me (spring summer). Get up to use the bathroom, get some sunshine and Game Over! I'm up! Being over 50 now there are not ANY nights (days) that I do not have to pee! And Doctors that just blow it off is BullShit! Not being able to sleep is not fun!

    With family needs, I don’t really have a choice to flip hours on my days off. Wife is due in a few weeks which means I’m doing basically everything for our 18 month old. I average about 4.5-5 hours of sleep a day if I’m lucky. I’m certainly not complaining, just the way it is. I’ll try to snag a nap this afternoon while little man is sleeping so I can make it up for the game.

    I find that 5 hours of solid sleep is good for me. I don't even need an alarm I just wake up 5 hours later.

    2/2 only a couple hours to go. On-Call guy was here when I got in working on the Pnuematic Tube System. I ran interference and took care of the calls. He still didn't get it. I was standing next to a motor that tried to start and couldn't. Problem found! Changed the motor out. All good! He only had six hours on it and he comes back in, in 3 hours:annoyed:
