I have now driven about 60 miles since installing the fronts. I wanted to give it some time to settle and I will be taking it in for an alignment tomorrow. I felt some steering wheel chatter around 40 MPH that feels new since the install.

 

You mind reporting back with additional measurements after alignment? It should have settled pretty well now I would think.

What are your plans for the rear?

 

Try and find a place that does unlimited alignments. If you've got the rumble and need the ECGS bushing it would be a waste of money to have it aligned, need the bushing and need it realigned.

I have not yet installed rears, still need to order lift and do the whole install at once.

Pre-lift measurements:
Front Driver: 35.0 in
Front Passenger: 35.4 in
Rear Driver: 36.0 in
Rear Passenger: 36.0 in

Post-lift measurements after settling:
Front Driver: 37.0 in
Front Passenger: 37.0 in
Rear Driver: 36.0 in
Rear Passenger: 36.0 in

Calculated Front Lift after settling:
Driver: 2.0 in
Passenger: 1.6 in

The truck is exactly 1.0in nose high.
I think I am going to order the Headstrong or the Wheeler's 3 leaf kit to give me 1.5in in the rear and a slight rake. Still need to see who's cheaper once I factor in shipping.

I think I’ll be doing the same with the rear. I might leave the overload in though. I was considering adding a 1/4” spacer on the fronts just to get a little more height, but I didn’t want to go much over 2” lift total in the front. With your measurements, I’m fearful the spacers may put me over that 2” lift point.

With your fronts being mismatched, would you consider adding a 1/4” spacer to the passenger side to level it out?

 

Great info! I'm about ready to pull the trigger on these with the addition of 1/4" or 1/2" spacers on both side, plus an add a leaf. Can't decide between single or progressive. Are we sure the rear shocks have enough extended travel to support the leaf?

 

No spacers needed. The lift is intentionally higher on the driver side, the measurements to the fenders are exactly 37.0 inches on both sides. From my initial measurements, I had some sag on my drivers side and this corrected it.

About 100. Alignment scheduled for this afternoon.

Just go off roading and cover them up in mud... a little coat of mud never hurt nobody!

 

Says the guy with an inferno truck. The red will look great against your canvas. Quicksand, not so much.

 

Do third gens have less rake than the second gen?

My truck has 2" of rake even with a topper and tools in the bed.

 

Looking at a stock 3rd gen to me it does have less rake, I thought it was just higher in the front

 

Just ordered and estimated to ship out my way Friday. I also have access to a alignment rack so I will try to get height measurements before and after along with where the lift puts the alignment right after install.
