Oh I forgot I am at like 3.5" of lift roughly in the rear and that rear measurement is probably longer than stock ride height length. I don't know how much actual movement there is in that slip joint.

They're bright and all but the life just isn't worth it. If it keeps happening I'll just drive with my nvgs on.

I guess I get a do-over now Baja Roof Rack, SOS Concepts Bed Bars, Tepui RTT,SOS Concepts Streamline, (mostly)Keeping it washed
Since my monday has sucked pretty bad so far, I came here to cheer up! (I had to turn around on 61 because of a wreck, my kid spilled some drink in his computer, and the damn coffee maker was just NOT doing it this am). My Baja rack comes in on Thursday and now my hubs said I need to have it made pink and black (just to mess with you haters of pink). So I have a friend that can dip it (and re do as needed).

    I am now stoked..............and happier.................. I think?

Have ya'll read this thread? If not good read the higher the output in halogens shortens the life of them. If you go with your standard box stock replacement low output you get longer life.

The wiring harness that he suggests purchasing I have made similar harnesses for previous vehicles of mine and that helped in getting them to last a little longer and with heat as well. I found it was a little more crucial on the ground side on certain vehicles because the ground wire was so tiny and it had an extremely long run before it actually went to ground.

My buddy did that in his old F250 and yeah they were brighter but the pattern was so dispersed it was just like big floods and it made it worse with driving. A couple weeks later he took them out! I like the idea of retrofits but you have to get them set in just right and I am not sold on the look nor do I like all the gauwdy halo/devil eyes crap they have. I don't want to spend that kind of $$$ on ones someone else did or the stuff to do them. That and that takes more time than the plug and play harness that is in the ultimate headlight thread. I don't want to make my own harnesses anymore either don't have the patience. Be on the lookout the guy who posted the ultimate headlight is doing a shootout of all the DOT approved LED pod fog lights soon, it should be good because he does a really good job backing up everything with actual real world tests.

plug and play LEDs would be great, if they are bright enough, and have good cutoff. I will wait this one out
