Awesome. What did you do with the current ground in the engine bay? What did you do with those connections?

Honestly I'm not sure, but I sure hope not now Im nervous. I read on DezertRangers a lot of guys running a 150a and they were ok, but I didnt even think about it. I called toyota and they said the stock alternator pulls 80 amps on a 2003 tacoma.

Do any of your guys with trucks on 35s feel like you have no power steering while at idle and not moving ? Lol

fastest way to kill your rack is to steer it without moving. Just turn while rolling

Not when it's aired up. But when off-road yeah, and it gets worse the more you air down too. 10psi or under forget about trying to turn while not moving.

Interesting.... Maybe find someone nearby with 35s and compare how easy it is to turn on the same surface? Maybe a rack swap is in your near future.

I haven't had problems with mine yet, and I haven't ever had to trouble shoot a PS system. I'm sure someone with more wisdom can chime in or I'm sure if you Google around you can find ways to check to verify which is the cause of the issue. (If there is one to begin with)

You can check for play in the tie rods and play in the rack - since it would presumably slip all the time if it can slip under high high loads from turning with no forward or rearward motion, I wouldn't expect the gears to be skipping / missing if they don't when you have the truck up in the air. You can flush the power steering system and see if there's a filter like there is on the first gens that gets loaded with gunk and inhibits flow...

Check your uniballs. I thought my rack was going bad, did all sorts of trouble shooting based on creaking, popping, and all sorts of awful noise. Finally I swapped out my lower uniballs and the noises were gone.
