so question for you "repair inclined" guys....

this morning my Traction Control light was on and my ABS light was on....

the only thing that happened is I pulled the negative battery cable off yesterday to test spool the winch.... went out this morning to drive to work and the ABS light was on....


where should I start looking for a problem? fuse? ABS sensor? what else?

 

I have seen that before as well after pulling the battery. Strange as it sounds, at the same time my ultragauge wouldnt boot up when it was happening. I had this happen twice. The way it "fixed itself" was i unplugged the UG, disconnected the battery again, made sure it was drained by turning the lights on, reconnect the battery (with UG still disconnected) start truck and all was well again. After that reconnect UG. Yours may not be the same issue but if the UG won't boot or is very dim, try that

What NICU?

 

Had that happen to me when I damaged the wiring to the sensors. I wrapped some fencing around my axle and cut the wires.

More than likely not your problem unless you frequently park in cow pastures.

 

Inova Fairfax. It's a level 4 NICU with over 100 beds.

 

the same thing happened w/ the UG.... it didnt boot up.... so I shut the truck off at work, unplugged the UG, plugged it back in, turned the truck "on" (not started) and booted up the UG and everything came up just fine.

did doing that solve your "ABS problem" as well?

hmm I'll have to inspect the wires themselves
