I think it would look better on quicksand than inferno. Inferno and red don’t quite match. It bugs me but not enough to pass on a good product at a great price.

Tbh, I wouldnt care if they were blue, yellow, green or whatever. As long as they offer the improved performance I am looking for, I dont care for the color they come in. Lol

If it bugs you that much put a coat of paint on them.

I don't think it will look bad at all. Besides, they could be chrome...

Eh, I hate red but not enough to disassemble just to paint them. For this price I'm just going to mount them and run it as is.

Although I did just get an email from OEM parts world saying my order wasn't in stock at this time, but will promptly ship when they get the parts in stock.:pccoffee:

    True, lose lose situation.

Thats the only thing I don't like about aftermarket Fox coils. Preferably I'd have blue, but if I wan't to spend blue money right now I wouldn't be in this thread :anonymous:

Can anyone confirm that the rears would have enough travel for a rear add a leaf?
I'm struggling with this setup versus a 5100 with OME 887 set up.

I would go with the progressive aal if you want a smoother ride..

If it's safe to assume these are the same as the Bilstein 5160, this retailer claims they can support a rear lift of 0-1.5" I'm not sure how else to go about confirming if they can support the extended lift.

    https://www.suspensionconnection.com/25-242539-bilstein-tacoma.html

    Edit:
Now I see lowrange offroad claims they can support 0-2.0" of lift. Are there different versions of the 5160? All these websites use the same part numbers (25-242379 / 25-242539)

Good info at @TPC - I think it's safe to say the rears can support the additional of a rear AAL.

Has it been confirmed the rear shocks are indeed 5160s, or just simply a shock with a resi?

I’m now wondering if I jumped too soon because I plan to add an AAL as well.

No ragrets. Add the AAL. Put the passenger side notch up. Add a space to the driver side and smile as you ride around with 2 inches of lift.

Or don't dick with the notches and just run a spacer on each side. Also, since these are extended travel (vs. stock) you may want to make sure your CV's aren't binding on full droop.

If I don't just bolt it right up as is, thats what I'll be doing.

Finished the fronts today, forgot measurements, but agree with ones posted already. My question for you all is the brake line spacer, I didn’t see a need for a 3rd gen.

Trying to confirm this as well, since I'm thinking of Med. Dakars which are suppose to give a 3rd gen 2" in the back(?)

Forgot to mention passenger lower shock absorber bolt was a bitch, needed extra set of hands from a buddy. Driver’s side was easy. Few pics.

    Awesome info coming out now!
I'm now debating on 1/2" spacer vs 1/4" spacers, leaving the passenger side notch as is.

Just the opposite with mine, driver's side was a bitch, passenger side was super easy..

It doesn't look like it's needed on a 2nd gen, but I just installed it anyway.
