They do have the matte gunmetals in stock I just don’t know how they would look on my silver Tacoma versus the black. :argue:

Hmm, if memory serves, the Matt Gunmetal looks like they used the same paint and I know your first thought is, "it blends too much" but it really doesn't because of the black in the tires. See if you can find a pic. I think you might just like it. Black is the obvious choice. And I really like the black, on any color Taco but the Gunmetal is special.

Well, what I like about them is that they are not black and not too silver. Sorta in the middle. In the sun they are much brighter in color and match the paint more which is nice. Black doesn't really change in the lighting. My coppers are the same way. Depending on the light they look so different.

    Look at these pics here:

That's silver to me. And by no means am I selling you on these. My first choice was black wheels, I love black anything, and black wheels are very cool. Then, and no disrespect to anyone, but I started seeing too many trucks with black up where I live, and I had really wanted them for the Inferno. Then I saw the Matt Bronze and knew that's what I had to have. Then I saw the Copper and that was lighter than the Bronze and I was GaGa for them. The Gold for me has too much yellow in it. Still bad ass though and so unique. I went with Copper. Now it seems the Coppers are not so exclusive. LOL Three guys at the dealership this weekend asked about them saying how bad ass they were and how they had never seen anything like them, including the owner. Had to write down the info for them for one guy.

Depending on what other mods you have done to the truck and how much black you have added here and there the dull black rubber with the gloss black ring and then the Matt Gunmetal (aka Dark Silver to me) would be very unique and look great. But hey, I am all about color schemes and matchy matchy. If I could get Inferno colored wheels I would. Maybe when mine go to shit.

Just throwin' it out there, helpin' you spend your money. Maybe check the SCS site first and make sure they don't have them before you buy elsewhere though.

Well, look at a couple hundred photos at least first to be sure. LOL Then look at them all again, and then ask everyone on here about them and what they think and then go back and look at the photos again. Don't let me influence you. Let the guys that have these wheels on their Silver Tacos influence you. I am sure they will be a lot more convincing.

    That's how I roll. :goingcrazy:

I had my mind set on the Coppers, knew how hard they would be to get off the site when they came in, and another member offered them to me at cost, so I jumped. A bird in the hand and all that. I actually bought 5 in case something happened to one knowing how hard they would be to replace. I almost bought another one the other day when I saw that dealer had them just so I would have a back-up for the back-up. But I am super OCD.

I tell ya this though. I will not buy another brand wheel for my Taco and if I ever get another vehicle to replace it, it will have to be something I can run SCS wheels on.

I read recently they might be coming out with a SUV based on the FJ in the future. How cool would that be to have these wheels on that. Hell, if I could afford it, I would have the SR8s in the Matt Bronze as a second set. Maybe run the coppers in the summer and the bronze in the winter.

The photos just don't do any of them justice.

    Let me float this idea..
I’ve got a cavalry blue Tacoma. I’m not really a fan of the TRD Pro wheels on the Tacoma. So I’m trying decide what color Ray10’s to get. Copper or gold would look pretty sharp but it doesn’t sound like either of those will be on the next boat. I’m kinda bored with black.. although the wife wouldn’t even notice new wheels if I stuck with black. Either greys would be safe. What if I had the center portion (not the ring) powder coated cavalry blue to match the truck? With black center caps...Too much blue maybe? Wish I could photo shop a test pic...
What say y’all? (and yes, I agree it does make for a spendy proposition)

And the Brushed Copper were recently found at a dealership in Texas. But I think with the lighter blue you need something darker like the Bronze.
