I have one of these on my wall:
Have never used it to fish by (will now). Use it more for weather. Pretty spot on.
Thing hit rock bottom during hurricane Sandy passing over the top of us.
    That was cool to watch.

I think you would be okay. Start a thread and link it in here too.
Looks like you have the posts and you have been here long enough.

I have already got the for sale thread - sold an outfit in 1 day, still have 3 to go. The idea is to direct people on this thread to my for sale thread without stepping on anyone's toes.

I can't see how it would be an issue. After all, just about everyone in this thread has posted a link for some random, fly fishing item. To me it seems pretty much the same.

Maybe ask yourself 1 question. Am I contributing to the thread?

If yes, then I would think that earns you the right to link some stuff you have for sale.

BTW, those are some nice outfits. I own one of the G Loomis Pro 4x rods as well.

Actually, that is the highest-valued rod in this group and the one I would have the least problem keeping!!

I was lucky enough to get out and fish a few of Wisconsin's spring creeks last week during a warm-up. I have a tough time figuring out these winter fish but did manage a rainbow that knows less about flyfishing than I do. 26910238_10211694735184084_4654730363341338981_o.jpg

Yep, I use it when I know there has been a huge rainfall. No sense fishing a river if the river is blown out from heavy rains.

Went for about an hour this evening. Only caught 1. Figured it would be much better than it was. Water was higher than it’s been in forever and stained for the first time in forever. Had to break out the streamer to get any action

I like to wait a week after spring floods are done. A couple days if you just have a random huge rainfall event. Smaller streams will take less time.

I have it good here in Michigan. If one side of the state got drenched, usually the other side is fair game. Its great having options. In addition, I'm 2 hours from anywhere good to fish. Just a matter of choosing which way I want to go.

I consider the travel time part of my day on the water. I'm not at work, so it's a win.

depends on the stream and time if year. late spring early summer i get good fishing when the flow increases as long as its not flood stage. the bigger streams usually a couple days, again if its flood stage it will take about a week. early spring can be tuff because of snow melt, but look at the avg for that month and see where it's at. you will have to remember what certin flow rates look like on each stream. it gets easier to judge the more you use it.

When i fisrt started using it i would look at avg flow rate and where the stream was the day i fished it, then water temp. and clarity, and how the fishing was. after awhile you will know what streams to skip or hit just by looking at the website. It saves alot of driving and makes for more productive fishing
