Anyone on here do powder coating or maybe work at a body shop? Ordering uncoated JBA control arms, I hate the red. Want them sprayed or coated black and want better the rattle can.

It’s the tool that ECGS makes specifically for removing the needle bearing. When you go to buy it, you’ll see the removal tool as an option.

Really you'll only need it once. The bushing you replace the needle bearing with is supposed to last the life of the truck. But in the case that you may help out others to do theirs, well, that's why I need it again.
I am more than happy to let anyone use it, I just want to be able to use it when I need it since I paid for it;)

Agreed but i'm like you, I always try and help out others when I can so i'd like to have it on hand. I'm only at 8500 miles, lift went in at 1400 miles. The day will come i'm sure lol.

Finally sucked it up and got the bushing in today. Aside from a minor fight to get the CV out, it actually went pretty smoothly. Shoot me an address and I can either ship it that way or come drop it off next monday

Well, just learned what ECGS stands for. Love this forum. Still likely nothing I would do by myself.:anonymous:

Yea, call? I just Go On The Line. Or ask one of you! I thought the ECGS was the name of a part like CV Joint or something. Not the name of the Co that puts out the part. I am old, I get all confused with all these acronyms. Of course I am mainly just confused all the time.

Thanks Man! Yea, I mean, I would call them but I watched the vids and now that I know that the ECGS is (look at me, Like I am doing this for a livin') and why it exists and what it corrects and how to remove what it replaces and then install it Phhht, I feel Like I could do one in my sleep. Not! When the time comes and do my lift I will be sure to just order the ECGS bushing and the install tool (so we have two floating around). Hell, while I'm at it, might as well order the seal too. Better safe than sorry.

And if I called them they would just be like "damn, is't that old man, Rob again with more stupid questions, how'd this guy get our number?!" LOL

Don’t worry about the install tool.

Its the removal tool that is a specialty item. They created it because people would break the old bearing getting it out and then have pieces of it in the front diff. Fortunately the front diff has a magnetic drain plug, but everyone should still drain and replace the fluid when they do the bushing.

Hahaha! I just did mine and it wasn’t too hard and we can do that when we do the lift too. Although I will say since your seal is nice and fresh, not to mess with it. I replaced mine, and it took me three seals before I got it to the right depth. Such a pain.

Seems others doing the same as me are paying about 50 bucks which seems reasonable to me. Going to cost me at least half that to rattle can it properly
