Exactly. It was good right out of the fridge but it tasted better after it sat for a few

I’m not sure if I’ve ever even had a RIS before this one. I’ve had other barrel aged stouts though

Almost grabbed a pack for the superbowl but went for a 6er of Switchback instead.

I remember seeing this pop up in the thread before. Gonna have to try and find it, seems right up my alley.

I have had a few. That one looks interesting. The Aquavit is what is drawing me in.
Let it sit for a while to see what it brings out.
Good stouts are amazing in how they change with temperature.
I feel that the cold tends to hide the best of what they are all about.

Nah. I went with the Switchback cause I knew I liked it. Also wanted a lower alcohol content so I could drink more and safely drive home after the game lol

If I'm at a party (which is rare) somehow I always get convinced in to shotgunning. And I'm certainly not going to shotgun an IPA haha

I just couldn't bring myself to down a $3+ can of beer mostly. Plus I'm not sure how smooth it would go down haha. Coors or bud light I'll shotgun without second thought though

Passing along another 4 pack to a friend tomorrow (NN). I asked her today if she had it yet. She said "that sounds wonderful."
She and her husband used to be partners in Big Elm. They moved on from the biz last year. :(
