They have changed my oil with Toyota care from 5000 to 25000 every 5K no hesitation. I went ahead and got Toyota care plus to 45000 to keep this gravy train running haha

I don't have a problem waiting 10k between oil changes, (since it's Synthetic). But I don't like the idea of waiting that long on my 1st oil change because of the break-in metals floating around, so I will do an early oil change at about 1 or 2k. Then I'll gladly stay on the 10k schedule.

Everyone has an opinion on this, and this is mine.

They ship wet. transmissions also but the powertrain plant has agreements with the vehicle plants, powertrain fills x amount and vehicle plant tops them off after install

Take a look at some of the many 10K oil analysis reports here. No break in metal.

Toyota does not make oil, or filters for that matter. I would assume it's Mobil just because we use a lot of Mobil products in our machinery, but I really don't know a big truck fills a big tank we never see labels.

No problem. And for what it's worth, today's engines and transmissions are made to super tight specs on the tolerances. 100 microns is huge to us

Ok well I have worked in the plant that builds 3.5l motors for fw vehicles and every one we made left with oil, they don't even blow out the coolant passages, just put plastic bags over hose inlets and rubber band them, the pink long life coolant drips out into the baggie in transit. Oh yea the 1.8l zr motor leaves with oil also as does the 2.5l tnga motor too. No way they would waste that much oil, only way they would drain it would be if it was re used and that doesn't happen.

I think they fill the 3.5 with 5 quarts on the line, I can't remember, so yes maybe not full but no oil is drained unless there is a defect and it is torn down

I’m thinking of doing the same. Mind telling us how much money you lost with the trade?

Those build specs can be felt. This thing is smooth for a truck. It feels better than cars from the early 2000s.

Well I owed just over 1600 on my lease and they paid that off and gave me 900 over book because of the low miles.
