    I'm #29. Got my Deadman, SWAG box, and hand written note. Pretty cool combination.

    How are y'all folding/storing the Deadman to take up the lease amount of space?

    I'm doing the folding/wrapping thing now, just wondering if anyone has something more efficient.

    We do it like this: https://youtu.be/Diwreyj5pAY Basically, we fold it in half, then fold that in half to make a small square and then wrap the lines around it. For the new bag, it'll be even easier - just roll it up and drop it in.

    My new black krazy beaver shovel is now mounted.

    Also purchased the protective blade cover, which I painted black vs the std. orange.

    Edit:

    @Pirhett

    Got the Kickstarter email which says they are shipped through to 168.

    I’m 169. No joke.

    Glad you guys are doing it right, and I have no problem waiting. I need this tool to perform the day I need it, and I’ll happily wait till it’s made to the standard you guys expect. I’d rather have the wait than false confidence in a tool that breaks when I need it the most.

    I'm trying to think of a place out here where you could easily bury that thing and the only one I can think of is Sand Hill....everywhere else is rocky and I imagine you'd ruin the Krazy Beaver shovel in short order trying to bury the deadman.

    I think it definitely is best suited for sandy / silty areas. I have been stuck in such areas a couple times here in NV, once on the black rock, and another time @ pyramid lake. Both times I was easily pulled out, but if I was alone the deadman may have been pretty clutch...

    I have taken several trips since owning it and just havent brought it with... simply because I was either with other rigs I could winch off, or I wasn't planning on being anywhere remotely sandy enough to use it. It also is very clunky to pack around.

    This summer I plan to use it as a tree saver and a rock hugger etc in place where a sling would have been used. I figure it adds extra utility but the only place nearish me that is all sand, is the Oregon Dunes, and that is once a year at best. I still bought it though.
