You may want to ask the installer if that amp has the option to run a dedicated remote sub level control which you can mount up by the dash. This way, you can very easily adjust your subwoofer level any time you want. That's my plan anyway. My JL Audio amp supports that and I have just ordered the remote level controller, waiting for it to come in. Good luck!

was really looking for a quality bass tone, not a shake your bones ghetto boom. and having to adjust the bass for every song, frankly, just sucks.

I just spoke with my installer and he suggested I take it back to them so that they can lower the amp settings. I'll report back afterwards.

aight, so I just got back from the installer's shop. After sitting in the truck while the shop dudes adjusted my amp, I'm pleased to say it made a huge difference. In short, the amp was just set too high/low/whatever and was pushing out too much bass.

The quality is now there without the boom. It is clear that I will need to adjust up or down depending on which type of music i'm listening to, rock vs hip hop for example, but im ok with that. I just panicked there for a sec thinking i'd have to adjust my audio setting for every song. Not the case.

    thumbs up, peeps, thumbs up.

Is anyone here running or going to be running a Audio Control LC7i in their system with this sub? Right now I have the LC7 connected off my oem headunit and it's acting as a LOC as well.

Did you notice a difference in sound or anything when not using the lc7?

Ok thanks. My Rockford has a High Level Inputs and I plan to use the 5th channel of the Rockford for the sub since it's 300x1 @ 2 ohms so hoping I can sell the LC7 eventuall

I got my JL XD600/1v2 amp put in and it powers the stealthbox easily. I put the amp under the drivers seat and there was plenty of space.

Great looking box but I decided to go custom to house an illusion audio c10 slim. Otherwise this would have been perfect.

Mine should be here Tuesday. Going to hopefully have it installed Wednesday. If all goes well and I'm happy with it, I'll work on amp rack rest of the week.

My sub showed up today. Looks great, no real smell and I should be able to install it tomorrow

Got my sub installed last night and I still have some tuning to do, but I ran out of time to really focus on it.

So far I like it. Not as loud as the dual 10's I had, but this one is no where near as sloppy sounding as those 10's either.

Question for others, do any of you have any rattling, like abnormal rattling? I think my passenger panel is rattling at times, but still have to investigate that is what I am hearing. I, also, wasn't able to get the brackets installed as they didn't line up with the factory bolt location. I will work on this some more today and this is possible to be part of my rattling source.

I honestly would love if JL Audio made a box for the driver side or a box with 2 of these 10's for behind the seat (even if I had to remove the bins), I think that would solve my bass needs :D

All in all, so far I'm impressed for how much sound comes out of such a little box. It's a little pricey, but like how it's a perfect fit and that JL didn't use a cheap sub in there.

I had an issue getting my brackets to fit right as well. Left it a couple days and then was able to get them to fit. I forgot to slice the piece of plastic off the bottom of the bin. (By forgot I mean I didn’t read the directions until the brackets would fit). I have raffles from the rear cab wall vents, and then the under for handle plastic piece you have to take off to get the door panel off raddled on two doors. Had to take them out and get then to clip in properly.
Mine is not super crazy bass, but a good amount. I find I have to be careful turning the gain or bass up too much before it starts to distort.

I did not see that part of the instructions either ha ha, I was trying to get it done quickly so now I will have to re-address that :). After I make that adjustment, I will work on finding the rattles. I didn't re-install the driver side bin (left it out just in case I had to resort back to my old sub box) so it's possible there is where the noise is coming from, but I will be working on that this weekend.

I had trouble with the brackets too. Ended up having to drill out the passenger side bracket, but got the one on the drivers side. I also couldn’t get the spacer to work, but the bolt went in all the way without it.

I haven’t had any trouble with rattling and amp happy with the sound. I actually need to turn my XD600/1v2 down a little.
