I agree. I would put it above a fireplace and kill whoever touched it.

Keep 2nd gen, it will last like another 10 years easy.
TuRD gens autos are bad compare to 2nd gen autos, it's a downgrade in my opinion and funny enough, TuRD gen manuals are upgrade compare to a 2nd gen manuals.
New Ranger is coming, maybe wait for that, at least there will be a real mid size truck finally in North America.

Driving up north past summer I was getting 550 from full tank till the light came on. Now majority was highway but also lots of winding roads just off the highway too.

Wow, heavy question... I'm stock sport, on firestone destinations in summer I've gotten 9.6L/100kms but I I do long haul highway runs (600 km per weekend). On second gen alloys with Nokian Hacks and winter gas, I see average 11.5

So summer hauls I'll push 750ish kms per tank. This winter ill be averaging 600 kms for certain, likely more .

Keep in mind, I'm MT and I don't buy into the AT getting better MPG in these buggies, gear ratio included.

As an aside, don't get a truck for MPG's

That’s true you don’t buy a truck for mpg’s but the third gen should do a lot better then the second gen

    What's your current MPG?
It's a global truck look, I don't get this muscle looks people here need, our trucks tow same amount as any family minivan/suv.
I would rather have Hilux front or better bring Hilux here to compete with ranger, I will get rid of my TurD gen in a heart beat.
    Toyota_HiLux_2015-Revealed-(6).jpg

You have to try those cars to understand why they are better, I've driven them all, Hilux, Fortuner, Prado, etc...
