I've let them go for 15+ hours and they had an almost crunch. I thought about rolling them out and putting them on the fruit roll up screens, just hadn't got that far.

Cold this morning, warmer now but snowing. Went from 2-4" to less than 1/2" expected.

I have made fruit roll up by running a bunch of different fruits together in the blender then spreading the mixture thin. It turned out very well.

Came home from work at lunch time, had enough dealing with people face to face.

Made crack chicken in the instant pot turned out well. The crack part is right ate a lot more than I planned to. -9 tonight. Snowed on and off all day. Snow in forecast all week from 1" to 1-3" every day. Who the hell needs a gym membership when you got snow.

@Martin64 that spot in the desert with my name on it is looking better and better everyday lately. I do need high speed internet to connect to work and there is always Scottsdale if I need a seat. Too much to keep me here for now though. At least this year.

It is really good, I'm starting to learn the IP and like it when not grilling.

See if this works. I posted it in the crock pot thread, didn't want to turn it into a instant pot thread but.... Hey looks like it works except without the others quotes:

Lot of slightly different recipes for it, crack chicken is all over the internet and people love it. Not a big fan of Ranch but thought I'd try it. There is a reason crack is in the name of it....

4 Breast for me was 4 pounds, most recipes call for 4 breasts and 2 pounds of meat. Those Iowa chickens they sell up here are huge. Yet they claim these are extinct

1 package of Hidden Valley Ranch seasoning and dressing. Mix with 1 cup of water so it doesn't clump.

2 8 oz. packages of cream cheese.

About 3/4 pounds of bacon cut up with scissors fried and drained. Because all great recipes start with first you cook a pound of bacon. (or close to it)

2 cups of shredded Cheddar Cheese.

If your 4 breasts are normal and 2 pounds half everything else of course.

Everything in the Instant pot except for the Cheddar and bacon. Went 15 minutes High Pressure then natural pressure release for 10 minutes and then quick release. (6 hours or so crock pot) Pulled breasts and shredded. Some warn if you overcook them they get mushy, so was careful not to but would have been easier to shred if I went 20 minutes. Same would apply if using a crock pot to not overcook.

After shredding threw back in IP with bacon and cheddar. Put on Med heat slow cooker setting for 30 minutes and everything thickened up nicely.

Hungry and didn't want to wait for it to thicken so tried some on Hawaiian Sweet dinner rolls with tomato and onion.

And that is when the crack started to hit. Not bad on crackers either and less of a mess once it thickened. Even added some cheddar and left over bacon as a topping. So much for me not being a fan of Ranch :anonymous:

Ya’ll are killing me... I’m gonna hafta get me one of them contraptions now.

My wife won’t let me paint inside ... I’m apparenty a messy painter. :anonymous:

Yep, putting it on the list.

Snow in the forecast here, but only 40% chance so it shouldn’t be much

... probably get a foot the way these folks forecast.

I broke my arm one Halloween when I was 10yo, going to the popular house for fruit roll-ups when they first came out ... got pushed off a porch stoop backwards about 6 feet up ... too many kids crowding the door at once ... landed on side with my right forearm just above the wrist between a big stone and my body.

Still aches with changes in the weather ... and I still love fruit roll-ups.
Might have to look into one of dem insty-pots too.

I book marked that Yuma RV website he posted; I might end up with one yet, despite my wife ... who am I kidding.

Getting some snow here now. Still waiting for snow plows to finish my road. They never did our side of road after Saturday's snow fall.

    Morning all!

Mixed bag is predicted for tomorrow - yea! Nothing like snow, sleet, and ice. I'm just far enough inland that I'll get all of them probably at the same time. 10 miles south and it would be all rain, 10 miles northwest-all snow.

Eh, whatever. This grunt has been trained to adapt and overcome. :D
