Installed @At The Helm bedside reinforcements. Hit them with some bedliner and then had to get creative on drilling the holes because of a sleeping platform I have installed.

 

Sweet, glad you got it figured out. I didn't know DeWalt made those 90° adapters, I'll have to grab one.

 

I just noticed that too. Pretty neat adapter.

 

Only $15 at Home Depot! You have to use bits that have the end for driver.

It was a huge relief that they had it in stock and cheap because I REALLY didn't want to dismantle the sleeping platform!

 

Installed a Pelfreybilt battery cage and Odyssey 31M battery as well as added a OverlandSolar 120 watt 3-panel folding solar kit.

 

Took out the rear seat on the driver's side and put in a platform to support a Snomaster 56D fridge & freezer. I lashed the Snomaster through the handles to some d-rings I screwed into the platform.

Very excited to make the switch away from a cooler. It is a work of art: stainless steel w/ locking latches, LED lights in each compartment, remote controller, transit bag, and a 7 year warranty... oh and even a bottle opener! Another nice touch I thought is the remote is solar charged so no worries about needing spare controller batteries.

 

Got the ARB snorkel installed

 

Hows the VR winch? Had a chance to use it yet?

Hey @Toynado, thanks for the awesome build details. I hit you up on instagram last week (the_frijoles) - thanks for the info on the tradesman. Just got mine on order today and it was very handy having all your build info to spec mine out! I'd like to say I did something cooler/better but you hit the nail on the head so I pretty much just copied it!

Question for you on the Prinsu rack - did you get load panels to mount your plano/tracks/rotopax? Or did you do a custom mount? About to pull the trigger on the Prinsu and have seen a lot of options for mounting and wondered if you had feedback from your experience. And I must have missed it in the thread, who installed your lift? I'm in the North Bay and unfortunately don't know any shops up here. Debating doing it myself down the road once funds replenish, just want to dream for now...

 

Like I mentioned on IG, you’re going to love it!
For mounting my TREDs I just drilled holes in the TRED mounting plates and used carriage bolts. And the same for the Plano box: four carriage bolts and washers (rubber on bottom and rubber and standard inside the box). I like how you can use carriage bolts to mount whatever you want. The Prinsu is a fantastic rack!

Finally got my portable water/shower system put together thanks to @ProForce help with the wiring. Box holds everything including a 25’ extension cord that easily plugs into a SAE 2pin connector coming off my 31M battery. Thanks!!

Did you remove it to derp it, or just tape everything off?

 

Just taped them off. Whenever I’m derping something I’ll have another project going so that I’ll spray a layer, set my timer for 15, go to my other project, come back and do another layer when timer goes off... repeat multiple times. That way I do lots of layers and don’t get impatient. The more layers seems to make it come off easier where you want and stay on where you want.

Looked like it came that way from the factory when I was finished.

 

Put some thin solar panels on the top of the Tradesman using RTV silicone. I was told to use it by someone who did it on their trailer a couple years ago and they are holding strong. Actually an easy instal.

And some 10AWG wire, in-line fuse, and ring terminals coming off the battery. And split loom from controller to the panels.

The controller is attached to my fuse box with 3M double sided heavy duty Velcro

100W is MORE than plenty to keep my battery fullycharged with the small draw from my Snomaster 56D fridge/freezer

The black section of gorilla tape on the tradesman is to keep my fishing reels from chipping paint when I have them in my rack that I can attach to the rails.

 

Sweet rig. Would love to do some stuff like this to my rig but I need to save up the money first lol. How well do the solar panels work and would you recommend them.
