    I would get another quote, and ask the agent what factors make the rate so high.

    And storage vs at home might make a difference. Or any other factors that only an agent could help with.
    Security lights/cameras, Parking in the backyard, etc.
    300 a month is a LOT.

    never was into winter camping but thinking of starting

    Yes. BUT! Theres a whole new procedure to get parking for it (a free permit) and its generally been a clusterfuck for the last 3-4 years.

    hmmmmm, I will have to research on how to get this permit then. I am considering just driving up at night and staying the entire day with hopes that my luck is good enough to see it and then drive home for work the next day.

    Parking is the issue. Thats pretty much what the pass is for. If you can get in, park way off, then take the free shuttle to the nearest stop, you're good...
