Never used those, I would suggest you try the VLED Micro Minis, I am ruñing them in my fogs and low beams and so far so good and very happy, $30.00 off right now I think.

I have these. Easy install, had this type since 11/15 in my truck. Never had a problem. Good video about the install and beam patterns

@CoastieRon @smugly please keep in mind that the MICTUNING charger is a little larger in diameter than the opening that holds your factory cig lighter so be ready to do some minor trimming. I didn’t mind the trimming because I don’t plan on putting back the original cig lighter. Just let me know if you have any additional questions.

A brake controller is a device that detects your truck braking and sends voltage to the electric brakes that some trailers have. Makes for less wear on the tow vehicles brakes.

Redarc is a brand of brake controller

No such thing as a stupid question so no need to apologize for not knowing something.

A brake controller is an electronic device that works as an interface between the truck and a trailer equipped with brakes. You program it to apply enough electrical current to activate the trailer brakes depending on the weight of the trailer and the cargo your hauling. As you apply the brake pedal in the truck, the device activates the trailer brakes. Without one if you were to apply too much brake pedal and lock up the brakes in the truck, you could fish tail and the trailer could Jack knife forcing you to lose control, or worse. If you program it incorrectly and send too much current, the trailer brakes will lock up at the slightest touch of the brake pedal, causing premature wear, and ultimately cause the trailer brakes to fail. The best setting is somewhere in the middle. The trailer and the truck are stopping simultaneously. This is the most stable scenario. Most brake controllers have multiple modes for various load weights and terrain.

Redarc is the name of a brake controller. Tekonsha is another. The Tekonsha P3 is a very popular brake controller. I had not heard about the Redarc brand until I joined this forum.

For all of this to matter, your trailer has to be equipped with brakes.

    I hope this helps.

A brake controller controls the brakes on larger trailers. Redarc is a brand of brake controller.

Same. I was aware it was bigger, I used them on my last truck. I have a nice step bit I trimmed with.
