Everyone has the right to protect themselves in their house however they see fit!! I worry about my wife and kids all the time while I am working!!

I can relate to you brother, same thing happened to me only I was not home, and bad thing was they were my supposide friends, luckily I was able to do a little investigative work myself and hand the evidence over to Tyler PD and they were caught with all my stuff, i 2 wish I had been home to greet them with shotty, I am glad to see that you are taking your wife to the range to get her familiar with shooting some iron, there is no excuse why everyone should have the right to defend themselves, and a shotty is perfect for home defense, #4 buckshot is what i prefer for CQB or go with #4 shot high brass turkey load. I am sorry that this had to happen and am glad your wife i okay, I pray they try this again while just you are home with gun in hand.

    Thanks again everyone.

I know, I was wishing so much that it was me that was here. They kicked in the back door but it took about 5-6 kicks my wife said. She was in her office(other end of the house) and heard the loud banging and at first thought it was me(I make a lot of noise in the garage and on renovations). After about the 3rd bang she got curious and went into our bedroom and looked out the window just in time to see the two guys going in the back door. That is when she jumped out the window.

It would have been the perfect situation if it were me because I would have waited patiently for them to open the hall door, then I would end it. Or I would have jumped out the window and came in behind them so I would be sure to get both of them, don't want any stragglers.

one night we had a dude creepin around our house as he tried to break in. we spooked him and he took off, we called the cops, took them fuckin 15 mins to get here! they are just 5 mins away!.... im all for the police helping the community out but for god's sake, thats uncalled for. i really dislike the township im in because of the police. they are damn near useless when it comes to them handling anything.

I know all law enforcement is not like this but that is why I would prefer my wife call me first in situations like this.

Booby trap that freaking front door or something, run some AC current through the door knob!! a good Jolt of 220 will stop allot of people, and you may get lucky and they will have a heart condition. Just hope it is not the mail man.
