Correct, rear axle brake line, but no lift, so I didn’t add it. Maybe made a difference on then 2nd gen? Just a block, pic in previous post.

 

For sure! But I don't want to mess with a new leaf package or an AAL in the rear.

This is the same reason I'm not buying them. I don't want 2 inches of front lift that cannot be adjusted

 

Did you take any before and after measurements you could share?

Have you done anything with the rear suspension other than the new shocks?

 

Anybody who has been watching this thread knows you're not buying them. We have known. You have come up with many reasons.

 

No one who has recently purchased these has even put enough miles on them to fully settle...

Good to know but I’m looking at it more from the perspective of new assembled 6112’s are $750, new 5160’s are $350. And this is from reputable vendors like Headstrong. So if I can get assembled front coil overs and rear shocks for $630 shipped to my door, and still get the ~1.5” of lift I’m after, this is a sweet deal. It’s a good deal even at the standard ~$700 you posted. If I wanted more lift I’d probably go 6112’s. But I can always add spacers to these later.

Plus, these are red and say TRD. That adds like 10 HP and 25 TQ.

I measured again today and there has been no further settling. ~2.0 in of lift on driver side and ~1.6 in of lift on the passenger side may be the settled height.

Alignment printout from Firestone below. The lift didn't really throw things out of wack too much. I had one toe measurement out of spec. The truck drives OK, I wouldn't call it great. I am considering getting my KO2s re-balanced since they were such an issue when they were originally installed. I don't think they were ever perfect. I have been hyper sensitive to the CV needle bearing issue so this all might be in my head.

After doing some reading on tacomaworld, it looks like I should be shooting for a caster measurement of closer to 3 degrees to compensate for larger tires and suspension lift. I'm going to keep driving, install 3 leaf progressive, then bring it back for another attempt after I can do some more alignment research. Any alignment gurus in here?

 

Your stock UCAs you can get around 2 for caster with a lift but anymore and your prob going to need aftermarket UCAs

 

Those numbers are to the ground with 265/70-17, correct? I just measured my truck and got the following measurements (I'm a stock June 2016 produced DCSB OR on 265/70-16 snow tires with about 8/32 of tread remaining and a full tank of fuel).

Front Driver : 34.875"
Front Passenger 34.875"
Rear Driver : 35.875"
Rear Passenger : 35.875"

Now, what is interesting is that I have the same rake as you, but I'm almost at your height with smaller tires. You tires are at least 1.6" larger than mine, which means that your numbers should be taller. I had read a long time ago that the OR at least in front sat higher than the SR5 for example and pictures I've seen tend to back that up. I'd love to see some other members here measure their trucks as well to confirm. The reason I mentioned the build date is that I had read after June 2016 some trucks got "firm ride" suspension, which I believe is similar to the TSB springs from the 2G trucks which typically resulted in a lift.

I don't doubt your numbers, but I wonder if different trucks sat at different heights from the factory and what impact, if any, this will have on lifts. Ultimately I know I have the same rake as you, so in theory if I gain the same 1.6 / 2.0 lift you've got I'll be 1" nose high, but if I'm already 1" higher front and rear, might I only get 1". Visually your truck looks more nose high than the one posted earlier, which was an OR and not a Sport.

They were most definitely $1500 list - they lowered the price last week to clear them out.

My tires are 1 inch larger in diameter than stock, but when measuring ground to fender, they will only raise the truck 1/2 inch over stock. I can see there being 1/2 inch in variation based on tire pressure or even where you measure on the fender. I did take my initial measurements at about 15 degrees F.
