Ok I just ordered through Toyota of Des Moines (Link Below). It cost me $614 shipped to my door here in WNY. I did call a local dealer to see if they would match it and the closest they got was $615 plus tax. I currently run Cooper St 255/85/16's with a hidden winch mount and winch in the front and about 200lbs of stuff in the bed of the truck. I also have firestone airbags with daystar cradles in the back which I use to offset the weak leaf springs and level out the truck. I do tow a travel trailer also so it will be interesting to see how that gets affected by this suspension setup. It will be awhile however until I am pulling that around considering winter is here for a bit still.

On road feel and preference are a grey area that only the user can deem 'good/bad/too much/too little.'

If I were still running a topper plus at least 100lbs of gear everyday, I'd be leaning towards the Dakars.

If you really are on a budget, just get whatever you can afford right now and save up to replace the leaf pack in a few years. Contact Marie @HeadStrong Off-Road or @Wheeler's Off-Road Inc. They'll be better equipped to answer any technical questions.

Check out Wheelers or Headstrong or any of the other good vendors on here. They all have good options.

They should give you a slight rake after installation. Over time as your stock leaf pack ages it'll sag and you could loose some lift.

The other option is to spend more money up front and get an entirely new leaf pack to replace the stock one, instead of just adding 3 leafs to your stock pack.

Fed ex just dropped off my kit. I still need to get new bump stops and ECGs bushing. Also keep kicking around new uca's while I'm at it. I'll probably hold off on the uca's for now and wait for the results of my alignment post install.

Measure from the center of the axle hub straight up to the fender. Then tire size or pressures have no affect on measured height.

I'm waiting on your report on the lift height bud. I want to go with the medium duty dakars but with the prinsu rack up top I have to make sure I can still get this thing in the garage.

Would the Med. Dakars with this setup end up with too much rake without adding the spacers for a long bed with a Leer topper? I like the stock rake fwiw.

You better be patient lol. I'm in no rush to do this. I do have a full prinsu rack and was planning on doing this in my garage... Now I'm wondering if I'll have to do it in my driveway lol.

On paper and from what has been posted so far, both ends should go up roughly the same amount. What actually happens depends on your truck. This is what I have planned to do though.

Hey can you help by explaining this to me? What is a needle bearing bushing? Why should I change it? I'm planning on installing the 6112s here in a few weeks. Also why should I upgrade the bumpstops? Thanks

With the cap and gear... definitely look into running the EL095R Dakar leaf springs. They're better suited for constant weight.

This thread here will get you started. https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/new-ome-dakar-leaf-pack-review.489540/

1" lift from 3rd gen suspension, 265/75/16 ATs
So you're saying basically Toyota does not stock these parts for more than a few years, in other words, everyone that bought Baja or Pro a few years ago will have to look for aftermarket suspension or go back to stock height OR/Sport/SR5 shocks when their suspension is worn out?

I don't know, but If I paid extra for a Baja/Pro where the main selling point was the superior suspension with mild lift I would not be too happy. :(
