    Ya
I know how you feel. Sometimes everything just looks bigger in the field. I remember one time I glassed up what I thought was the matching side to an elk shed. Could only see the tips until I got close enough. It was a whitetail laying just hidden enougn to fool me.

I found a small 2 point and a spike antler today while trying to walk out a lion track, no pictures.

    Side note:
My dog is to the point where I can take an elk shed 150 yards in the hay field on Tuesday and she’ll go find it Wednesday afternoon, she’ll sniff around till she finds it. But once she finds it she won’t go find another. She doesn’t realize there’s more out there.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

She has followed your scent to it and your scent on it. I cant get past that point with my dog. Will find anything I hide but watch him walk right over one when out looking for them. I guess I’m too dumb or maybe the dog has to make that transition all by himself?

Try hiding several real close to each other. It may convince your dog to go back for the others and then search for more.

I walk out there a ways and then throw it, and walk back a different way. I know she follows it a little but after doing it a couple times I have a couple different scent trails.

But I see what your saying.

Wow, 116” is very impressive! I would estimate yours is in the 95-100” range. Even out here with mule deer, any antler in the neighborhood of 80” could be considered big, with 100”+ being a once in a lifetime find. If you could somehow get the other side, that would be a seriously valuable set of antlers! Matched sets that size can go for several hundred dollars

I like skulls. Thankfully the wife does too. Many of my bucks I have shot I turn into euro mounts. In addition, I’m an avid trapper. So, many of those skulls are utilized as well. Here is a bobcat skull that I did.
