While I do not share the sore-bum hatred, I disagree with the whole "you have to let others win sometimes" mentality. It's socialism, and we ain't having none of that shit around here.

Teach kids the truth. "Daddy lost because the other team played a better game TODAY. While our loss hurts, we played our best but they earned the win today." That's it.

Kids are surprisingly smart if you treat them like they're smart.

 

Sounds to me like she was walking a line between teaching them about sportsmanship and comforting her kids. You guys are the ones who are offended by what words she chose to do it with.
If I'm comforting a bawling 5 and 8 year old, I'm not going to pour gas on the fire and tell them that their daddy lost because somebody else played better. Seems counterproductive.

 

Hopefully for him Luck comes back stong , they get 3 OL, a RB, a WR, 2 DL, a safety and 2 corners.

Depends on how that shoulder heals up. Are they planning on keeping Brissett? McDaniels had some success with him last season.

 

I have met J.E.T. Brady a few times up until he was 3. I know Bridgets brothers wife (Abbey). We bought $80 worth of jets gear so they could wrap him up in a snow suit so they couldn’t see him until he was unwrapped.

Brissett hasn't been overly successful for Indy, though. Didn't he finish out 4-11 or 4-10 this season? I wonder if McDaniels can straighten him out. Or maybe if Luck comes back healthy he won't have to bother.

 

Shrug. If it was me I'd try to calm my kids down first and then explain the facts of life to them later, when they weren't bawling. Probably would go double if I had a crapton of reporters around recording everything I said. Who knows what conversation they had in private, if any.

I think it more of a team 4-10.

When your east west rusher is over 30 and you uave zero o-line which keeps you def on the field for 40min a game you reevaluate every position.

And lets face it Luck needs to prove he can play healthy.

I don’t see McDaniels as a difference maker on THAT team.
