TRD Pro Grille for $140?

Which seller did you order from?

 

first it was areyourshop, but he never shipped my item after a month. bought from bruceshark something like that. his tracking seems legit so i'll just wait for it

 

Please keep us posted because I ordered from areyourshop and just got an email from eBay today saying this seller has been flagged and not to pay him but it’s too late for me so after this shit storm is settled I’m going to look for another seller.

 

Guess I got lucky with Areyourshop-a. Mine came in 8 days and was perfect. Sucks that you folks are having problems.

 

If you use paypal account to pay for these items you bought specially from china thru ebay you dont have to worry if these kind of issues arises... it happens to me few times and paypal do all negotiations.. money back guaranteed

 

i just requested my refund from Amazon , bought the areyoushop grill but after 20 days the tracking hasnt changed. Im thinking of just buying a 2018 oem trd pro grill and call it a day. been dealing with these dead beat sellers for two months.

 

A number of folks have gotten grilles from areyoushop and I personally one from bruceshark. I don't think these sellers are trying to scam anyone. I'm guessing they are having trouble meeting the demand. I know that's of little comfort if you ordered a grille and didn't receive it yet though. Hmmmm....where was I going with this? Damn, my train of thought derailed.
Anyway, there are a number of eBay and Amazon sellers posting these and I bet all of them, including Toyota factory grilles, are coming from maybe only three sources, none if which are dedicated to producing TRD Pro grilles solely.

 

Got mine from bruceshark, for a 2018 Limited and was able to transfer my TSS-P saftey radar sensor without issues and bought the radiator garnish (glass looking piece) to protect it and everything ported over just fine. Tested the sensor and all is good.

 

The other way around...’18 grills need the garnish part as well, separate purchase around $50 from dealers. 16-17s don’t have the sensor so you’re good to go with just the grill.

 

Just a word to the wise, if you’re ordering this for a 2018 and get the 2 piece instead of the individual letters, you will not be able to attach the radiator garnish because it doesn’t have the slits for the garnish to pop into...this is the grill that has 4 silver screws holding the honeycomb window that is to be replaced with the garnish. That grill is good for 16-17 Tacomas. If you get one where the plastic is melted on the top two holes, then it likely has the slits for the garnish tabs to pop into however, those usually have individual letters, which isn’t a big deal, I put epoxy on the back side of the letter holes. Keep this in mind, this is from experience because in I ended up ordering both styles for my 18, but only the said one will work. I ended up giving the other one (with 4 silver screws) to my brother in law for his 17 since he doesn’t have the saftey sensor. Ask for a picture of the back side from the seller before you purchase if this is meant for an ‘18 taco. Also due to copyright issues, a lot of these guys send out letters separately. Whoever sells you the grills, must include the lettering because the letters being sold on eBay alone do not fit any of the Chinese grills other than the grill of the seller selling the letters. This is from experience and lots of trial and error and lots of returns and restocking paid until I figured all this out. Also, if after you order ebay tells you the seller has been flagged, and not tonworrybyou will receive your part, it’s because they keep getting flagged for copyright issues and they just end up reposting it a little different but you’ll likely still get your order. These Chinese sellers are just trying to stay one step ahead of eBay and copyright. It happened to me after I ordered it, eBay said the listing was removed but not to worry, your part will still come and if it doesn’t to just start a case for refund. However, the seller will still usually give you a tracking number to indicate that you’ll be getting it even though the listing was removed. That’s what happened to me.

One thing to keep in mind is that if your package tracking stalls (and it will), that is no fault of the seller. Once they ship it, it is out of their control. Customs held mine up on both side of the ocean, but it did show up after 3 weeks or so.

 

You'll get a refund from areyourshop. Don't think he's trying to scam anyone. His responses we're pretty quick. They're just stalling hoping to get the item then ship out. Anyways, my tracking from Bruceshark seems to be moving so I hope to get it by end of this week.

 

One thing about bruceshark, he forgot to send me the letters, make sure you get it from him or else let him know if he didn’t send it and he will. Only his letters will fit his grill.

 

So after hearing from eBay to cancel my transaction areyourshop sent me an email saying he is not trying to scam me and the item did ship out the other day, sometimes tracking doesnt update internationally and i should have it within a week. So ill give him benefit of the doubt and just wait.

 

yeah, i doubt they're trying to scam. I did get a refund so it's all good

 

I actually received my grille from Areyourshop yesterday. Ordered Jan 13, received Feb 5. 25 total days. Tracking didn't show it in the U.S. until Feb 3. All is well now.

 

any pics of it? is it all 1 piece or is the lettering separate?
