I apologize if this has been discussed previously, I did search and didn't find it. Please provide link if so, but is there a discussion for reducing vehicle taco weight. Carbon fiber hoods etc, stuff like that to better the power to weight ratio.

    Not so much...
Some people watch their wheel/tire combo weight but most people here are adding weight for strength and stuff.

Prerunner is probably the best answer to my question. Yes our 4x4 tacos are fat and heavy and get 0-60 in about the same time it takes me to fall asleep. But I still love her..

No way to make a Tacoma lighter. Toyota already stripped off everything they could. That's why the truck comes with plastic trim pieces where the bumpers should be. About the best you can do is work to minimize weight gain. Almost every improvement adds weight.

Best way to reduce weight on a Tacoma is... wait for it....trade it in for a girly-man prius.

OP, quit driving those fat girls around together.......haul 'em one a time.

Also.....since you'll be adjusting the heifer quotient...you can downsize the Yeti that I'm sure you are sporting around with.

Fat girls are one way you combat the Taco Lean. I use them to break in my suspension. They do not mind.

But I have running boards on my truck. What purpose do they serve besides helping load in the big boned ladies?
