A good hatchet (not that metal handled trash from Coughlin) and 36" axe are a must too imo.

All I currently have is a Pulaski, Seems like the best tool given our conditions.

My safety sandals are a must when operating it too.

Dealership question, are salesmen just that stupid or that shady? Never mind I know the answer. Found a 2008 Lexus gx470 sport completely loaded for a good deal in Indianapolis. Main concern was rust so that was the first question I asked the salesman. He told me he looked it over and didn't see any rust. I asked if he could send me pictures and here is the underside... nope don't see any rust.

I would have been so pissed if I flew out there for that. Lesson learned if it's in the salt belt don't even think about it.

I have been looking for a GX also and will buy one out of CA/AZ no problem. UT or any midwest, eastcoast area's not a chance.

I guess it is all in context. I feel sorry for those peeps. Will they ever learn and stop using salt?

The price is what tempted me. $15400 for a newer low mileage gx sport.

I've found 05-07's in AZ with 150ish for 2K less. I just want to spend even less than that! I guess I'm just a cheap ass!

They used to be cheaper... before they were #ExpoAF

    Just FYI, IIRC
When looking for one, one of the things I was avoiding was getting that "upgraded" stereo. Its some different voltage (18v maybe?) so you cannot easily fix things like speakers.

And the other radio that has built in HVAC controls, you cant upgrade the headunit. And if it goes out, you lose HVAC and its not a cheap fix.

We are using salt brine same as utah now too. It's only in certain counties, but will continue to spread.

The NAV is bad by today's standards but some china companies are making Android replacement screens that have CAN bus and will operate the HVAC. I'd be willing to give it a try.
