I typically pack ten gallons of fuel and 6-12 gallons of water depending. I also have bottled water and other drinks too.

Check this guy’s trailer out. Cool build. The 35” tires are almost as big as the trailer.

    10-15gal fuel

    10 gal water

Trailer is totally unnecessary for anything out here in the US and mostly a hassle IMO. Just decreases performance and maneuverability. All for...well not much.

I see why you’re saying, I’ve done the back packing thing and it’s fun, I guess.

Our main purpose isn’t camping I guess, mainly hunting and I guess we could live without the “comforts” but it makes things easier.

    To each their own.

I've never needed more than 5 gallons of extra fuel. Even in the middle of nowhere Southern Utah trying to stay on back roads. I don't think you can get that far away from a gas station in the lower 48. :notsure:

I have. you can plan trips that push the boundaries of 10 gal extra in several places in the US.

    Wow. That sucks.

Were you the one I was giving advice to with regards to removing your clutch torsion spring and replacing it with the linear spring? If so, new advice: don't do it.

    Death Valley 2018: Day 5 & 6
    Eventful Trip Home

...Now, an astute reader may remember that on our way to Beatty from
the northeast, we nearly ran out of gas. Not to be outdone
coming from the southwest, the fuel light in the truck came on just as we pulled
out of Stovepipe wells - some 32 miles from Beatty...
