I was thinking the same thing. For $2200 I can get fresh gears front and back and an ARB rear from ECGS. I think $800-$1000 would be more fair

When I did their calculator with 4.56s arbs front and rear it was like 1600 for the rear and 1900 for the front. Them doing everything I just order pick up turn in my cores. You can order the gears arb and install kits and be cheaper but I am lazy I have rebuilt enough differentials I am done! But a diff with busted gears sheesh not good, if the rear is broken no telling the abuse the f took kinda iffy to me. Also around here junk yards will sell you the stock e-lockers for 400 bucks or so. I like my stock non e-locker it has a larger ring and pinion so there is a little more strength there than an e-locker.

Yeah the $2200 number I'm getting after the two cores get refunded and no locker in the front. Agreed on the amount of abuse.

I paid $1900 installed for F/R 4.56 and no lockers, when I was down there last April

The arb lockers is what adds a bunch of parts cost to the ticket as well.

I saw that too. I'm contemplating the rear 3rd member with the broken gears that i'll rebuild and know its solid. I need to do some research on what's needed to transplant the elocker rear into a non e locker casing. Looks like 2 bolt holes and some die grinder work would make it fit.

Just configured the front clamshell the way I would want to order it. New bearings which +200, ARB +875, CV bushing +45, 4.56 gears +50 came to 1720 for the front. That is me going to get the clamshell they have already built and not having them do it in house.

one locks the rear differential (electronically) so that both wheels spin at the same time, and one does not have previous feature

I also opted for solid spacers. I could dig up my build list

I'd be curious to see you retrofit it into a non e locker housing!

Like the difference in the axle? One has a locker and one doesn't. The area that the 3rd member drops into is different for each one, which is why you can't just swap diffs.

It is like an ARB air locker except it uses electricity to lock the 2 rear wheels together. The stock e-locker only has a 8"ring gear while the non e-lockers have a 8.4" ring gear

Nothing the rear third member should just go right into the non locker rear housing as far as I know they are the same just the stock e-locker is big thus the smaller ring gear etc.

Nope, they don't fit but I wish they did. I don't know why exactly, but I know you can't drop a e locker 3rd member into a non e locker housing. You have to swap the whole axle.
