I've had my Taco for almost a year and I have been having fun with messing around with what Grille floats my boat the most so after reading 999,999 threads about Gen 3 grilles I decided to post my journey to grille nirvana. Just can't fall for the Bro Pro grille so here's what I've done.
    OEM Grille.jpgPainted Grille.jpgQS Grille.jpgSR5 Grille.jpgXtec Designs Grille.jpg
OEM, Blacked out, Quicksand, SR5, Xtec Designs (Not yet)
I'm currently running the SR5 grille as I think it most closely represents "old school" Toyota grilles but I think the Xtec Design grille is the one that floats my boat and will have to be procured at some point in the near future.

The sickest grill available is the BAMF. If I ever spent money it'd be on that.

Nothing wrong with getting a Pro grille. Doesn’t matter the reason for switching. Should’ve be standard across the Tacoma line to begin with, and then people could branch off from there and do whatever they want.

Plus, my original OR grille had a quarter sized area where the finish was flaming off within 4 months of purchase. Not rock chip, flaking off. I decided to get the Pro grille and literally trash my OEM one. Yours looks pretty good though.

I love the look of the BAMF just not the horror stories of the grille surround cracking on multiple owners trucks. Not cool. Looks sweet though.

But then you wouldn't kick out an extra six grand or whatever for the PRO.

I like that Xtec Design grill a lot...I was seriously thinking about a PRO grill until I saw one in person a few days ago...I don't like the way it protrudes from the grill frame at all, so it's off the list permanently...

Am I the only one who doesn't mind the OG off road grill? Looks fine to me.

Agreed. Hope they develop an option for the 2018/radar sensor.

Too many reports of cracked shrouds after installing this grill for my comfort level. Is it the weight, the difference in material, or does it put a different type of strain on the shroud at speed?

I like my SR5 grille but the TRD Pro grille is tempting.

Mandatory tint, in-channel visors, and 265/75R16 MT Toyos.
As someone who liked the OR grille because it flows nicely with the SSM, I cannot stop staring at my truck when looking on from the front. I accented the grille with a cheap TRD badge that a I painted red and it just pops.
