    Originally I was going to have the fenders wrapped orange as well. But there is a small black piece of rubber between the fender and body that couldn't be wrapped .... so the orange fenders would have had a small black outline which I think would look weird. I love the look of the black fenders now and once I polish out the current scratches on them I'm going to have the same guy wrap the fenders in a clear vinyl for added protection.

    Ah ok Im with ya now...yea I think since you are wrapping the whole ride it makes sense to continue that protection to the fenders. Looks like you will be able to save the clear coat from further damage soon enough. I did hit up sleepy creek and man my passenger door really took some shit this time out. After having recent paint on the rear bedsides, I think its safe to say the truck is broken in again in terms of being a wheeler.

    Tight spots out there for sure. Makes me cringe just thinking about them. :D

    Yea man on the more challenging trail, I had a few guys rolling with me at night and we got to the point where I had to turn back after going back and forth a few times. Which at that point the past couple hundred feet took forever cause it was so close as it was. The wheeling itself was nice and casual though which is nice with it being that tight.

    Suggestion: if you are going to keep the fenders black, wrap them in a matte black so that it matches the matte-ness (is that a word?) of the rest of the truck. Otherwise, :thumbsup:

    Agreed. I thought about how much better that would look after I recorded the vid.

    Check out my builds! ----->
    I agree on the matte-black fenders instead of the clear coat, I think it would match the rest of the truck better. Otherwise you could go with a matte dark gray like on the base model trucks! I really dig that orange! :thumbsup:

    After a little bit of thinking I realized that now your truck seems to be strikingly similar to this first gen build: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/trevneels-truck-build.473428/

    What are you thinking of doing with the grille surround? Leaving it black or returning to chrome?

    Hadn't seen that 1st gen build before but I like it! :D Yeah I might have to go with matte black instead.
