Looks a lot like what is offered on the HiLux. Tell ya though, the HiLux sure does trump the Tacoma
in the accessory department. But they tend to use their trucks as trucks over there...

I like both. When I lived in AZ definitely into loooong travel IFS, now in ID....SAS makes more sense here in the mountains, though we do have a fair share of desert.

Would really like to see IRS....be a nod to the old Iron Man race truggy.

The president of Toyota global (Mr. Toyoda) said that in 5 years, EVERY Toyota model will be hybrid/electric, or have a hybrid option. So... that’s a thing.
The new highlanders and siennas will be exclusively hybrid, so that’s just the start.

Did you choose the one that looked like an IUD?

Is that why this is happening?

No offence, but I don’t quite understand all the Hilux love and “trucks as trucks” talk. The new Hilux looks like balls, and I am so very glad it’s not what Toyota offers here. These light-duty trucks see the same amount of mall crawling, posing, and off-roading for groceries in Australia as Tacomas do here. For the record, I use my truck as a truck, and truck around in it, trucking stuff back and forth, so it seems to be trucky enough without looking like that Hilux design abortion.

Your beloved 2018 Hilux (you can have it :puke:)

The new HiLux is pretty ugly, no doubt...but what I am talking about is the accessary page compared to what we get in the US.

Just scroll through it and you'll see it is aimed at people that actually use it as a truck. Not to mention it gets a truck engine a nice torquey diesel.

    compared to the US:

Canvas seat covers, trays, dual batteries, bull bars, winches, etc....all available from the factory.

I suspect a lot of it is dealer push back in the US. They make a lot of money pushing those accessories from 3rd parties they know and have dealt with for years.
