See, and I cook Sous Vide. But I usually use glass mason jars rather than ziplock baggies.

Was thinking more of the book....The Jungle. I think that is the book with some commentary about a meat packing plant.

The devil made me do it :anonymous:

I used to use the plastic bags in the crock, sometimes. Instant Pot has a stainless insert that cleans up well. Also have the Teflon coated liner for it when using as a crockpot. OH NO! Teflon and PFOA's!! That one did generate some decent hard anodized finishes though.

    ribbed for her pleasure.

Look a little oversized, though. Might want to step down to the finger rubbers.

Actually it is a fad of cooking in Japan right now, started by the Condom Chef.

About a year ago did SV for awhile but not a fan of it. I'm more kill it and grill it. Smoke it. Crockpot (Instant Pot). Fry it. Cure it and smoke it. Have a Coleman stackable cooler, BT Anova, IKEA stainless racks, and Rubbermaid commercial SV container I need to trade off for something more useful. Like a Weber Kettle Pizza Oven ;) At my age I don't worry about lifetime warranties so much LOL. Or what evil is supposedly going to kill me this week.

Just FYI.. “BP-A free” is a sales ploy.

BP-A is replaced with BP-F or BP-S, which are both extremely similar to BP-A and are far less studied or researched either in short term or long, and are likely to be just as dangerous as BP-A.

I’d either be comfortable with plastic or avoid it altogether. “BP-A free” doesn’t really mean anything, except you’re just the guinea pig for its replacement.

There are no dashes in the names or abbreviations.

Habit.. spent a few years in a related industry where I had to spell it out for mouth breathers.

Point being.. your body, decide what you want to put into it - what the label says it doesn’t contain is not the whole picture.

Absolutely which is a statistical nightmare in methodology, and some don't understand the use of a period in the English language either LOL. Then again in the early 70's they made Engineering majors double up on English classes, didn't really help so my point may not be valid...

Long story and not going to get into it all. But there is a reason I live where I do. The headhunter was good but timing was right, my father had just died of cancer. When tension gets high in a room full of PhD\MD's I might have been known to say "I'm sorry, can't remember is coffee going to kill me this week or is it good for you?" Sometimes it generates laughter, other times intense stares. But it does reduce the number of meeting invites on my calendar. Standard disclaimer, my opinions are my own and not necessary my employer's.

Clam chowder, split pea soup with a carrot, chicken breast and rice with a can of mushroom soup and carrot, ham and navy beans with a carrot, pot roast with a carrot. Gotta have carrots, vision you know. Crushed red pepper to taste, maybe a dash of curry powder in the split peas. Canned vegetables make things faster, although quite salty.

A pressure cooker makes the preparation faster, quite handy camping actually. Wait, a pressure cooker may be overlanding.
