Yeah which is a problem with tent trailers because they’re so light.

The proper term would be ‘did.’ We now live in Zion NP... ;)

Very beautiful there, was stationed in Montana and wouldn't mind going back at all. No sales tax, makes a long drive worth it and with so much open land, makes it that much better.

Good deal is a good deal. Found my 6'x12' around 1200km away, decided to make a trip to the families stomping grounds another 450km in manitoba. 3000+ round trip. IMG_20171226_163347.jpgI've since added some more leaf to bring up the rear, drop hitch to level the trailer, and brakes to keep it safe on the hills and ice. Spray foamed the insides and undersides to keep it warm with minimal energy when necessary.
Dry weight was just under 1000lbs.(aluminum construction) I figure with it loaded and set up for work it's likely just less than 3000lbs.. Perfect without tow mirrors. Slanted v-nose is a pretty big plus.. Headwind was make it or break it factor with my 18' TT..
Truck will pull some serious weight, but if everythings not in peak order, the mpg just drop, i think this is the biggest I would subject the truck to regularly.

Towing with my 2007 Tacoma had me worried at first. But being careful and always prepared; it tows without issue even if I have to drive on I5 during the toughest traffic and or over the Cascades and or Rocky mountains :) Trailer weighs in at 4776lb empty. And Wife and I and 2 grandsons have had lots of great times in the mountains and or on the Ocean. Have a safe and fun towing experience. PORTERHOUSE :)

Actually I have only used the down shift to 4th one time and that was when a full sized Chevy 1500 got in front of me with a trailer too big for his truck and the semi had to pass him before I could going over the pass. Otherwise I have no issues averaging 60 to 65 even over the pass. So, not really the truck has plenty of power and unlike some others I've seen I don't have sway and or get bothered by the wind. Hope that this helps? The only other trailer I would want over the one I have with this truck would be the Lance 2155 model as it also has the opposing slides, but sits lower to the ground. Thanks for asking.

I haul a six by ten foot trailer full of various crap lol. Sometimes it's to move furniture to make a scrap yard run or to transport mowers, ATVs or pallets of grass, lumber, concrete culvers, piping, fencing, I have a cage attachment for transporting small livestock like sheep, goats, etc, local volunteer work, etc.20171208_071253.jpg 20170712_144720.jpg 20150329_113854 (1).jpg 20161111_141833.jpg 20170208_120033.jpg IMG_20131009_094257_111.jpg

I think the 6x10 is just about the perfect sized utility trailer. Usually well built to handle 3500-5000# with ease yet small enough to maneuver around the driveway by hand.

Then again, I also want a 5.5x9 dump trailer so...

Yeah this trailer has been good to me. I've had it over 15 years. Replaced the boards once and repainted it once. Think I've done the wiring twice. I just need to staighten the lift out someday. It got drug on a rock

Yeah I was just curious. When I towed my ranger with my old Tacoma it felt like it was always downshifting/struggling. Guess it was expected coming from a diesel though which is apples and oranges. Good to hear though. Safe travels

I just sold my 4x8 it was SOLID fully welded angle iron construction I could not complaint about it at all, it went great to the dump and to and from home stores and lumber yards.
I'm into a micro enclosed trailer right now that is about the same dimensions but little dinky wheels, however it has springs and shocks!

    EDIT: it has coil springs!
