The rev hang is very slight below 3,000 rpm and is more noticeable the higher the rpms go but it's really not an issue. The truck does shift better when shifting at higher RPMS.

Thanks for the reply, and if I could bug you with one more question... any hesitations/stutters under moderate load?

Probably nothing the dealer can do. It's the way the truck is engineered. Just curious but didn't you notice it on the test drive?

I use to have ‘issues’ with the rev hang from 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd. Wasn’t really able to launch from a stop. With the tune I find I can shift quicker without lurching.

Oh ok, that sounds like the overall improvements to throttle response you get with the tune.
Yeah on the stock calibration you'd be dealing with lurching and that outright dangerous bog off the line if you hit it hard. Well at least with my truck (04B10, remember).

I never got any kind of bog off the line with the stock tune. With both the 87 and 91 tune I have a slight decrease in power delivery at around 3200 and at 3500 it comes back strong.

3 inches, Ray10s, 34s, OVTuning, and driver mod for now.
Mine still has that crucial power band feel just after 3500ish. Waiting to see if the newest revision changes anything to do with that or not.

I want to make sure I'm not sure worrying needlessly. About 8 days ago I ordered the calibration kit from OVTune. I received an order confirmation via email. That's where the communication has completely ended. I've received no notification that the product has shipped. I've received no product. Is there a back order? Am I never going to get it? Was I supposed to do additional steps in advance?

It seems from what I have read, there is a delay from when you order, from when you get your kit. Not sure why, but if he's working solo or with a small team, this could be why. Once you get your kit, you have to wait for a serial number email to activate everything, then after you read your ECU, you send that file to Matt, wait some more, and then he will send the tune file. It seems there is A LOT of waiting for paying 800 bucks. But the reviews claim its worth the wait.

In this video there is a distinct tick that I don't remember hearing in mine, but it could just be the difference in audio from the video and my ears. It could be that my expectations are wrong? I'm expecting the engine to sound like prrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr not a recent VW TDI idle.

It's a bit funny watching my passengers reaction when it happens and they think I just floored it out of no where and they look in the mirror like we are about to be rear-ended by an 18 wheeler or something lol.

I believe, but the cleaning only runs during idle only, right?

I THINK I hear the same noise during light acceleration as i'm coming off the clutch and giving it gas. Not always, but again, best I can describe is a diesel like clatter. I tried to record it on my phone, but it's useless.

Engine goes into beast mode 3500+. Their is a new tune coming out in a few weeks. Ignition calibration. Keep an eye out for it.
