I used knots on the last one and it worked. I wanted to try to get the setup to work without this time. I got 100' of rope so i can make another one with knots if I need.

Seems everything I drop my tire pressure off road something causes a leak. Usually mud in the bead but this time it might be a stick in the bead. Had to switch my spare on during my lunch break. Lost 15-20 lbs in 3 hrs this morning.

Have had that happen before. Was a piece of a stick in the bead that caused it to leak.

It happens. Guess I should try E-rated tires next time to see if it holds the seal better. I was only down to 18-20 psi on each tire.
Everytime in the past its been mud but this time @hoarder23 saw a stick that he tried to pull out with some pliers but it was in to tight to get any of it out. I dont see the stick today so I'm guessing its hiding further in the bead. Full size matching spare is on now so I'll try and make it to discount on wedn to get it fixed.

New tire going on and having them switch my spare tire on to the other front rim. So basically 2 new tires up front.

:tumbleweed:Still waiting on my bumper to ship. Original expected ship date was Jan 19th. Called on 1-17 and was told it would be another week for it to be ready to go to powder coating. Called today and was told it went to powder coating yesterday so they should ship it next week.:turtleride: We'll just have to see how true that turns out to be. I'm ready to get the bitch installed!

I'm a little shocked. I just got a quote to try and be lazy and have a shop do my rear bumper install once I get it. They came back to me for the low cost of $650-$750 with 6.5-7.5 hrs of work. I never thought it would cost that much or take that long for the install. Guess I'm going back to my original plan and installing it myself.

I'll counter that offer with: you can help me for Beer/Food and a good time watching me cut up my truck! Now I need to decide if I'm using a jigsaw or buying a new cutting wheel...

My Bumper Fiasco of 2018 - this is a little long winded and probably has a bunch of typos...

So I'll start from the beginning. Back on Nov 10th I ripped my rear bumper caps of destroying the mounting and did a tiny bit of damage to the passenger side bedside near the bumper. Easy solution was to give in and order a high clearance with swing out. I spend a few days looking and decide on CBI's T3 HC with Swing out, dual jerry can carrier and camp table. On 11-20 I try and order it on their Black Friday deal through the site. Coupon code wont work. I call CBI and they say they see the problem and fixed the discount code, get off the phone and proceed to order. Coupon code still doesn't work. I call back and inform them the site still isn't accepting the coupon code so they say "I can take the order over the phone and apply the discount for you." I think great make it easy and get my order in! So I tell them I want to order a T3 High Clearance for a 2016+ Tacoma with Swing out Dual jerry can holder and camp table. He enters the order applies the discount and we arrange shipping and payment. Then he says I will receive an invoice shortly and to verify everything is correct, if any errors are found just call to have it corrected. We get off the phone and I wait patiently for the email to show up. Not a long wait and I get the email, I quickly review the order and it looks great T3 with everything I wanted added and an expected ship date of 1-19-18. Sounds great to me I'm finally going to get my rear bumper fixed :woot:. At this point I'm super excited and cant wait for the time to pass. On 1-17-18 I call for an update, I"m told the bumper is still in production and will go to powder the next week. Ok, no biggie it was the holidays I was ready for it to take longer than they originally quoted and 1 week late isn't bad at all. Time to keep waiting patiently. As time passes I give them time to get the bumper shipped. My patience is wearing thin and finally on 2-7-18 I call again to check on my bumper. They check on the status and tell me it went to powder the day before and might be back by friday if not then it should be monday and will get shipped out once they get it back. Sounds good just a couple week delay. 2 days later on 2-9 I get shipping notification that the bumper is on its way! Shipping was pretty quick and tracking was kept up with. Bumper makes it to DFW on sunday and scheduled for home delivery on Wed 2-14. Sadly I'm at work and it has to be received by another family member. Once I get out of work I book it home to see my new beautiful bumper waiting for install. I get home and immediately go look at it. First issue why does it look like a stock replacement? There's no high clearance sides. I need high clearance to cut off the area I damaged! I am freaking at this point wonder WTF happened to my HC order! I go check my email for the invoice again, start reviewing it and realize somethings off. Why does it not state high clearance anywhere??? I start pricing the bumper with everything I got in the standard and the high clearance option. It matches the standard like what they shipped me... How did I not catch this? WTF am I going to do. I am actually thankful that CBI closed before I got home and I didnt call and make an ass of myself. So what now? I'm not installing a stock replacement that wont remove my damaged bedside. This bumper is useless to me. I call CBI today and inform them of the order entry error. They state the product I received is what is on my order. I was given the invoice to ensure it was accurate and I did not catch the error. So 2 mistakes caused this to go all wrong the way I see it. 1. The owner who took my order missed the key feature of me asking for the High Clearance version. 2. In my excitement I did not see that High Clearance was not on my invoice.

I admit theres fault on my part and I should have caught this. I wish they would have just fixed the coupon code so I could have placed the order myself ensuring it was accurate but what can you do. Whats done is done.

CBI could easily say sucks for you enjoy the bumper that you ordered since I never saw the mistake. They are not doing this and instead they are working with me to get the HC version that I wanted. Yes its going to cost me money but in the end I should have caught the error when i checked the invoice like they asked me to do. Now I must pay to ship back the standard version to them. They did say they will help cover the shipping cost of the new bumper to me though. Hopefully tomorrow I will figure out the final details and get the ball rolling for the bumper I originally asked for. By far the worst part is I am stuck with another 10+ week lead time waiting for the bumper.

Lesson learned, dont let the excitement of a new part let you miss the key details. It will bite you in the ASS. I am a dumb ass but at least I'm not getting completely fucked in the end. As of now I will talk with them tomorrow and make sure sending back the bumper is the best deal or if trying to sell it on my own would be better. Its looking like sending it back with them working with me will likely end up costing me less in the end.
Time for the long wait once again...:tumbleweed: Now for the fun comments about my stupidity. GO!

yup, i'm more or less over it. Because of my personality I'll beat myself up about it some more at some point but thats how I learn from mistakes and prevent myself from making them in the future. I was able to handle everything well, without losing my cool, while communicating with CBI today and in the end I feel they are stepping up and taking care of me fairly. They had the opportunity to leave it all on me and I wouldn't have been able to do a damn thing about it. While it will cost me more $ than originally it looks like it will be less than if I had fix the error on my own. Hopefully tomorrow I will finish working everything out with them since I'm off work.

Brother, we've all done something similar at one point in time. Count your blessings that this wasn't a last minute order for something like a wedding and then you REALLY fucked up. Its just a bumper and its just money. Crack open a cold one.
