Guys, anyone else out there interested in an aluminum front bumper from Demello? I want one, but they're asking what's the interest level out there. Weigh-in, thanks.

I’m with ya D, I’ve been talking with them for some time, and they do have good service. May have to go with the steel, I like the configuration of the Baja.

The bumpers would look like the current 2016 bumper shown below. But with thicker material. including the 1in shackle mounts we have water jetted that run the height of the bumper. Below are what they would look like.

Yes the hoop version will be included in the pre-order special pricing.

Given the recent post on this page about aluminum bumpers failing or cracking we are re-branding all our bumpers too "overlander series" of bumpers. We just feel they are better suited in those environments as opposed to rock crawling or hard wheeling.

Both of the bumper options should be up on our website now. I will work on a pre-order pricing for you that want to be the first to order them.

For those interested, we put together two pre-order packages for you. This will be the first run of these aluminum bumpers. They will be exactly the same as our current Steel version, except they will have our signature 1in thick shackle uprights that run the height of the bumper. As well as all the internal bracing you've come to expect from us. The thickness of the skin is the same as our other current model aluminum bumpers. The estimated weight is just that "estimate" I will conservatively say they will be 50lbs but I believe they will be a little less than that complete. This first run will be a limited run and this pricing and special will be done February 28th of this month. That gives you 3 weeks to decide on which one you want with what options.

Option #1 Place your order on or before February 28th putting a "half down" deposit an you will receive free powder coating a $175.00 value.

Option #2 place your order on or before February 28th "paying for the bumper in full" and you will receive not only free powder coating but also a free set of Baja design sport lights to fit the bumper. An over $400.00 value.

Expected, estimated delivery date will be end of April beginning of may 12-18 weeks These are conservative estimates and we plan to beat them. WE just want to be upfront as possible. If when you place your order TIFFANY tells you something different on the ETA that is the new ETA not the one above. Thank you.

    Pricing:

    Flat top $1350.00

    Baja hoop $1525.00

Please call 951-735-4417 to place your order.

    Key points of the bumper

    • 3/16in thick aluminum skin,
    • 3/16in thick aluminum internal bracing
    • 1/4in thick aluminum winch plate
    • 1in thick aluminum up right with pass through shackle mounts
    • fully bolt on to your frame (requires cutting plastic bumper)
    • fully welded
    • built in the US
    • winch capable
    • light weight
