Don't waste the money on a noise maker as your truck already has a Cold Air Intake from the factory. You will get NO GAINS IN MPG, HP, or PERFORMANCE. Just noise noise noise.

I somewhat agree, unless paired w/ an exhaust. Barely, if even noticeable gain under 3500 rpms. Gets loud around there.

Makes the engine compartment look purdy.

@gunny1005 may have the best price. Check with him.

Really you should save your money, it won't do anything for performance

While I agree it’s PROBABLY just a noise maker, you can’t categorically state that unless you (or someone else) posts a dyno sheet to prove it. I have yet to see anyone prove this one way or the other. So is there one on the 3rd gen?

You absolutely gain performance from the TRD Intake. I live in Denver at about 5,800 ft. I own land at 9,700 ft. Before the intake, my truck would constantly hunt for gears as I was going up the mountain to my property. Now, my truck holds gear and is a true joy to drive. I haven't noticed a difference in the butt dyno or any massive gains in fuel economy, but the intake, without a doubt, makes my truck drive better. I am running the OEM standard air filter and not the high flow oiled one. Those types of filters like to make a vehicle run lean.

I had an Air Raid intake and Magnaflow exhaust on my gen 2 and was planning on TRD intake and exhaust for my gen 3. I did notice nice gains in power and sound with the gen 2. I hope I'm not disappointed in the gen 3 performance. I really want that crappy throttle lag to go away. Seriously hate that issue.
