No, you’d still want B110s for that droop. I only have the aal because (A) it was already in there and (B) I have about 700-800 pounds in the back (once this bumper goes on)

Yessir! That's exactly my plan. I'm waiting for @fatfurious2 to finally crawl under his truck and get me some measurements.

How much does your rear bumper weigh? I was gonna say mine is similar to the old one with the hitch, but I think it's heavier. Not by too much, but definitely heavier.

Gotcha. A bumper is another reason I want to get some dakars. It's not in my immediate plan but a regular rear with a swing out is what I want to have a camping setup with the flip down table.

An aal can always be added later, so that works well!

Next question...how well do you think your storage system would resist water without your shell?

Pretty terribly. The only way it’d work well if you sealed up the wood, maybe with deck stain? I’m not sure how often that needs to be applied though.

Thomsons water seal. Read the can for how often, but I'd say once a year. Maybe twice a year if its a rainy year? Idk. Just guessing really...

Hmmm, that sounds like it could work. Is your design pretty water tight as far as water getting inside? Some silicone in the cracks should seal it up pretty well I think...

I think it would work pretty well then. Could even have a drawer system, but inside are waterproof totes holding electronic stuff.

But without that I still think it would be pretty water resistant.

And I'm leaning more towards lockers, but dakars just to save some headache. But 63's could become a thing in the future for sure!

I think this may be what I'm gonna do and possibly pretty soon too.

I like @EatSleepTacos design. I would maybe change some things though. I'm not going to knock it, but if I were to do it, I'd look at these couple things.

First off, it's heavy. His drawer set up is VERY sturdy, but it's mainly 2x10 (I think? iirc) I would maybe use some 5/4" material, but it might only be available in certain widths, like 6". Maybe even 3/4" pine if you feel it's sturdy enough. There should be enough support internally for it to be strong.

Secondly, I would make the drawers go only halfway to the back of the system. For the back half, I would look at making a hatch. This could be a problem with water getting in though, unless you can figure out some kind of sealing rubber gasket. It's not ideal to get stuff in and out of since you would have to go in the bed, unless you're stretch Armstrong. You can make it locking though and keep tools and stuff safer. Obviously you can lock the drawers too. This would also help cut down on the weight of each drawer you would have to yank on to get open.

Like I said, I like EST's set up. I just like throwing ideas out there. It spurs the creative process.

Edit: if you do go with the 5/4, you can maybe do 4 drawers, 2 over 2 type thing.
