If reasonably priced would purchase a set of these for your Tacoma?

It depends on the material he choses, but if they are like standard car door logo magnets, they are pretty solid and should stand up to off-roading. The only problem is if a branch drags along the side and catches an upturned leading edge.

There a different strength magnet sheets that can be applied. They aren't hard to get off but from what I've seen they stay on really well as long as they are applied to a clean surface.

Get it covered in mud first, let mud dry to hard crust. Wheel as necessary. :)

I saw a guy last year in the pine barrens in NJ, in a nice 4runner. He got out, put contact paper on his rig, and then go down the trail. I thought, now THIS is a guy who knows what he's doing. I don't know what that goes for these days. 3?4 bucks a roll?

Possibly would buy these for hunting but would need to make them with very stong magnets and apply a super thin felt backing on them to help avoid scratching. Would be afraid I would snag them on a branch and it would push it down the side of the truck leaving a ton of damage.

I wish that worked for me! Mine is covered with mud all the time as you can see from my pick. That dang sage brush still seems to work its way through it.ha

That's a really good point! I plan on using the strongest magnet i can get and still keep it low profile. And I'm actually working on a design that eliminates catching and pulling it off

Meh, don’t see much point. Pin stripes happen in the desert.

I might be interested if I was on more overgrown trails.
