Just saw the guys that did Game of Thrones are getting to do their own Star Wars trilogy.

 

You know what that means.

Only thing that makes me wanna see this movie is Woody Harrelson

 

A Kenobi movie with Qui Gon Jinn kicking ass all over the universe would be fantastic. I'd love to see a Vader movie, but they'd never ever do it. He was a serious badass and it'd be cool to see on screen why he was such a badass, a whole movie like that scene at the end of Rogue One. Fuck. Yes.

 

Yeah. Great. Another Director(s) getting a movie or trilogy. Why not?

Looks like Disney wants to get the hell outta the Skywalker saga since they crushed that shit with TLJ.

Would like to see Old Republic or something we haven't seen yet. They cant fuck that up. Or can they?

I’d like them to wrap up the Skywalker stuff and start with something new. That way maybe they won’t mess things up. Plus they won’t be ripping stuff off

 

Yep. There is lot of material out there around The Old Republic as mentioned by Ben in Ep4. Would be something to move away from the characters we once loved and are now shat upon. Ton of different directions to go but we'll see. TLJ was a mess and Solo looks...meh.

Your right, they stated it will be totally different, and have nothing to do with the Skywalker story line.

 

The Skywalker's are all gone now (RIP Carrie Fisher) so hopefully that portion of the story will be all wrapped up. I never liked Luke, but I don't think the latest films portrayed him properly either. There's so much cannon to pick from. Scrap episodes 1-3 and actually do justice to the clone wars. Obi wan was a savage, those were his best years

 

Why can't they just do a Netflix type series or something?

 

As much as I agree with you, there is no way that would actually happen. Disney likes the prequels for some reason, and they scrapped the original Clone Wars cartoon so Disney could make their cgi cartoon and collect the $$$ from 6 seasons. No need to scrap anything for profit, they can just f*** the story and make another sequel.




Also, I read that Lucas did enjoy The Force Awakens. I haven't seen anything about his reaction to The Last Jedi. Anyone know?

I know they'll never do what the real fans want to see, unfortunately. They can just create whatever they want at this point. There were so many things about TLJ I hated, but overall it was an enjoyable watchable movie. Which is what they want

 

2 reasons why he needs to return as Obi-Wan in future movies damnit!

 

It sucks his talent was wasted on so much green screen.
